A great cottage with all amenities. Lovely family on site for any queries. Crazy golf and golf range with café an added bonus. Near to York and North York moors and coast.

Great cottage which is well finished and has everything you need. Local shops in Strensall less than 2 miles away with a shopping complex with Asda, Sainsbury’s and other high street retailers approx 4 miles away. Park and ride can also be found here which is by far the cheapest & easiest option for getting in and out of York. Loads of great attractions within 10miles of Dairy Cottage, Yorkshire Air Museum, National Rail Museum, York Designer Outlet, York Castle Museum, York Cold War Bunker, City Wall Walk, Cillford’s Tower, York Minster, The Shambkes, Chocolate Story, York Dungeons to name but a few. We had great plans to see loads of the attractions but ended up spending so much longer at the ones we visited that we just didn’t get round them all. Just means we will be back again in the spring so we can carry on our journey round York. Great cottage and great city, can’t wait to return again.

We enjoyed our 4 night break at Dairy Cottage and would recommend it to others, particularly for visiting the city of York. The cottage is spacious, extremely clean and well cared for. The furnishings appeared quite new. The beds are comfy. The cottage is situated within a small courtyard development and at the entrance to York Golfing range. The front has a quite private enclosed fenced garden with a lawn, whereas the back has a flowered area overlooked by the other courtyard development occupants. The two front bedrooms have a view overlooking a field with sheep and the road and woodland beyond. The location is good for exploring Yorkshire. Bridlington, Harrogate and Pickering are all within an hours driving time. York is particularly close and there is a Park and Ride at Monks Cross about 10 minutes drive.

This was a very well equipped and clean cottage with everything needed for a week long stay. The heating system was superb with a constant temperature always and lovely underfloor heating. Fittings were modern and of very good quality. The cottage is well situated for trips to York with the park and ride within easy reach and towns like Pickering and Beverely are not far away. Situated as it is on a farm with a golf course it is excellent for golfers. We had to mark the location down because it is difficult to walk anywhere and there wasn't a pub or restaurant within walking distance. Otherwise it is quiet.

Will definitely return. Greatly enjoyed by all of us.

Lovely well equipped cottage on the outskirts of York. The cottage was very clean. My daughter described her bed as the most comfy she had slept in. We enjoyed exploring York, Whitby and Scarborough whilst staying at Dairy Cottage. My son and husband enjoyed the golf range trying out foot golf for the very first time.
