Very cosy cottage with everything you could need. Easy to control heating and log burner in the lounge. But would recommend buying logs from the farm shop or somewhere selling dried logs - not the garage in the village as they were all damp! The kitchen was well equipped with all the appliances, pots, cooking utensils, etc. necessary. Wi-Fi was good with quality TV choice of channels etc. Comfy furniture but could do with a choice of pillows.

Pros: Delightful welcome baskets, stellar kitchen facilities, dryer, space, cleanliness, basic supplies provided, owner's helpfulness, bus routes, parking, local walks, patio/stream, carefully considered decor (e.g., tea maker in bedroom), comfortable furniture, quality bed linens and pillows (if you like hard ones). Cons: Safety of stairs, which could easily be fixed with proper banisters.

The cottage was outstanding very clean and wanted for nothing we even felt awkward using anything as everything was of the highest quality. The welcome pack was brilliant a great gesture. It is warm and cozy with lovely central heating and log burner. The location is a distance from places to visit so a car is a must I:E Skipton, Settle and Harrogate. The cottage is is a little awkward at being stated as dog friendly as they are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture, so they have to be left in the lounge. So if your dog like ours sleeps on the landing at home you may find it a problem even though a bed is supplied for them to sleep on in the lounge. I had to sleep downstairs to make sure our dog didn’t go on the furniture during the night and damage it. The pub in the village is totally non dog friendly but the Old Stone Trough about 15 minutes away is great food and spoil dogs. So if you want a superbly furnished cottage with everything you want and have a dog that can sleep in the lounge and won’t be a problem during the night it’s a great place.
