Enjoying a pretty coastal village setting and just 500 yards from the sweeping sands of one of England’s finest beaches, these cottages are part of Town Farm Cottages which were created from a 17th century stable and coach house. An ideal holiday base, these attractive, cosy and comfortable properties, five of which we offer here, sit on a courtyard in the heart of Beadnell village, a popular venue for water sports enthusiasts and boasting a picturesque harbour as well as a shop and two pubs serving food – all within a few yards’ stroll. Two miles to the north, Seahouses offers a variety of shops and tea rooms, a leisure centre and superb golf course, and boats depart regularly from its working harbour for fishing trips or to visit the Farne Islands’ famous seal colonies and bird sanctuaries. A further 3 miles up the spectacular coastline, a deservedly recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, lies Bamburgh – dominated by its splendid castle – whilst the causeway leading to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a little further. An easy 12 mile drive south reaches the market town of Alnwick with its castle, renowned as the film location for Hogwarts School and beside it, Alnwick Gardens, an exciting contemporary space featuring gloriously vivid planting, stunning water displays and one of the largest tree houses in the world. A wide variety of day trips from exploring the historic towns of the Scottish borders to shopping at Newcastle’s Metro Centre are also easily accessible.

This is a perfect place for two to get away for some peace and quiet, perfect location, minutes walk away from a beautiful rugged coast line and free parking. The cottage is quaint and has a well equipt kitchen for home cooking. Salt and pepper pots available but no salt and pepper. The bed mattress is way past its best and is well in need of replacing and the decor is a tad jaded but it did have a homely feel to it. Short drive to Seahouses gives access to shops, several fish restaurants, caffes and boat trips to the Farn islands.

Nice little holiday cottage but, parking around the back of the cottage with no access other than walking around the block can become a niggle. Cleaners need to buck up a bit as we did have to hoover the living room carpet again and clean the bathroom floor. Situated in the heart of the village in a great location, very peaceful and handy for the local pub, cafe etc.

Lovely cottage in a great location for visiting Bamburgh and Lindisfarne. Only marked down as the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours clearly and the bed was creaky. But I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Enjoyed the week at Daisy. Loved the location. Just a couple of things : I love cooking but got very steamed up and the window would not open in the kitchen. The bed needs some attention. Could do with a bin on the front.

Small functional apartment, which was ideal for two adults and our dog. Ready access to coastline and plenty of walking space. Northumberland readily accessible from Beadnel. Good base for touring. Quiet and peaceful location behind village church. Places to eat (and to enjoy a very good beer) close by. Very dog friendly location which was important to us. Recommended location. There are larger premises in the block.
