Our 2nd trip to Dales Pause and we had a lovely time again.

Lovely house, a true home from home. Short walk in to town and perfect for our week in bedale and meet with family.

Lovely spacious house, well equipped and 5 minutes to Bedale main Street. (Don't Google post code!!) Could do with lock on bathroom door and batteries required for many clocks! As owner has a dog could they suggest some local dog walks?? We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend friends about this property.

We stayed here over Christmas to be near to family. It would have been difficult if I had had to cater for anyone because the kitchen was not very well equipped. It was obvious that this wasn’t a true holiday rental. It was as the owner had said- it was her home. Trip Advisor has already warned of a lack of an iron which is standard. No teapot, and stocked with random crocs. The ground floor loo flush was faulty. However, the beds, linen and heating were all very good and it provided for easy living on the whole.

The accommodation was excellent with lots of space, comfortable seating and bed and very responsive heating system, however, the access and parking was problematic, having to reverse out onto a busy rd with blind corners. It was well equipped but lacked an iron & ironing board. The flagged and tiled floors were dirty and there was no towel in the kitchen. The dish towels were grey and a bit marked. Small details that didn’t spoil our stay but require addressing.

great base for touring local areas of interest. cottage was clean and comfortable and well equipped. doggie treats were a pleasant surprise. one small problem was parking (not much room for car at rear and few areas close by.) did not spoil our holiday though!

Lovely stay here for a week, good location within a few minutes walk of the High Street with shops, pubs and cafes. Very clean and comfortable house, would happily live here full time!

A wonderful place to stay, easy access to a lot of beautiful parts of the country. Highly recommended.

Great cottage-lots of room and dog friendly. It was a nice touch to have a dog bed and some dog toys. Amenities in the cottage were generally good, although an iron would have been helpful. Cottage is in a great location for visiting lots of places and Bedale itself is a lovely place for a meander. It was nice to sit out in the garden when the weather allowed. Parking at the cottage was ok for a small car, although reversing out onto the main road took some getting used to.

Dales Pause is a lovely "home from home" property with a secure garden for dogs. The market town of Bedale with its local shops is really inviting and just a few minutes walk away. Whilst the house was clean there were no cleaning products for the kitchen or bathroom - a week is a long time! The parking can be tricky as you need to reverse in to the parking space from a blind corner - local parking is available but if, like my husband, you want to park next to the house it really is a little challenging. The surrounding countryside, market towns and villages are really worth a visit.
