Lovely house 5 minutes stroll from Grantown's high Street. Spacious accommodation with very large comfortable beds. We were left a very generous welcome pack by the owner Jenny. The hot water was supplied by a Raeburn but not enough to provide showers for 6 of us each morning. An electric shower would have made a huge difference. The Raeburn was tricky to control for cooking but it would not put me off going back.

This holiday house is a lovely period property with lots of room, and decorated nicely with very comfortable furniture. The location is central for the town and the surrounding area is full of opportunity for outdoor exploration. We had a very comfortable stay and the owners were very responsive with any problems we had. Two things would improve the equipment available - one or two larger saucepans - especially if catering for 6. And an updated TV system, possibly a smart TV as the wifi is excellent. The TVs are both out of date and sound quality so poor we struggled to watch a movie. But other than these things very well equipped and provided for. Also same channel had to be played in both rooms meaning there is little value to having two TVs in the house. The only other thing we want to feedback is whether the house would be warm enough in a cold spell over winter - the temperatures were way above average for February when we stayed and I wonder whether the heating and hot water system may be inadequate in cold weather. We didn't expect this type of property to necessarily be as warm as a modern house but I think the heating system could be improved. Pack some wool jumpers if travelling in winter!

We had a lovely time at Dallas Brae. Lovely house with everything we needed provided. The house had plenty of room and the bonus was two bathrooms. The owner was most helpful and explained all details to us on arrival. This was a great location for exploring the area. We would recommend this house.
