Beautiful cottage, lovely features, clean and well equipped. Quite remote for amenities which are in Silloth about 1 mile away. Great walks nearby and pet friendly. Lovely enclosed garden with seating.

We had a lovely week at the cottage. It is in a great location for walks along the beach Their is one of the best golf courses in the world at Silloth and its great value for money We took regular trips to the Lake District, so its a brilliant location Great place to stop and the owner is really nice too !

Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful location. Amazing views. Well equipped. Plenty of room. Only slight criticism was that the living area was a bit cool in January even with the heating on. Luckily had a good gas fire. Might benefit from another radiator under the window. We found this a very relaxing, peaceful place away from the every day stresses. Would highly recommend.

Really lovely little cottage, deceptively spacious, clean and very comfortable. We felt at home the moment we arrived, the location is excellent, remote but still within reach of shops, we had our groceries delivered from Tesco. The downstairs bedroom was great for an older guest and the layout in general worked very well for us and the dog. Lovely walks from the cottages front door around Grune point and up the coast to Silloth (about 3km) Within driving distance of the Lake District and loads of local attractions but we found enough to do locally. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the near future.

As a family of grandparents, parents and 2 kids plus our little dog, we loved our time at Darcy cottage. We found it plenty big enough for us all. It was well equipped for cooking meals. Plenty of room in the bedrooms. My husband and I had the upstairs double room, it has a window looking out over the Solway to Scotland. We loved looking out to see what was happening. The walks are great and we walked both directions. You will need good footwear as there are rocks/pebbles to get over to the beach. We visited Silloth, Maryport, Whitehaven, keswick, Cockermouth plus lots of the smaller places and we had a great time. It's a lovely peaceful and relaxing place to visit.... We are hoping to go back one day.

We had a lovely week and the weather was kind for the time of year. I was a little disappointed with the beaches. The only reason for not returning to this cottage is that there are so many other beautiful places to visit in Britain. It was a warm and cosy cottage to stay in.

We were a mixed age range party of 6 and the cottage worked well for us. We put the teenager in the downstairs bedroom, while my partner and I (pensioners) shared the double room with the incredible view over the Solway and my Daughter, her husband end 5 year old had the bedrooms which lead off one another as their area. Downstairs bathroom wasn't a problem as it was only a few seconds nip down the stairs and having a second loo near the kitchen was a godsend! We brought a Labrador and Jack Russell with us so the utility are was great for their bits and bobs. As the road is private with no through traffic it was SO peaceful! The views were absolutely amazing and the air seemed so fresh and clean - a great place to re-charge your batteries. Silloth is a quirky little town that we really enjoyed. It had everything we needed and wasn't too commercialised. It only took a few minutes to get there by car but we often preferred to walk along the coastal path. The enclosed garden was nice for the dogs - luckily our dogs didn't seem to want to escape as the fence is quite low. All in all we had a wonderful holiday in a cosy, welcoming property, set in a beautiful spot.
