The property also benefits from an enclosed walled garden to the rear which is perfect for enjoying a barbecue in the evenings. Portsoy which is host to a popular boat festival in the summer is ideally placed for exploring the rugged and varied coastline of the Moray Firth. There is plenty to do in the area with several fine golf courses close at hand the Whisky and Castle Trails waiting to be explored and excellent sandy beaches along the coast - from Banff to Nairn and Lossiemouth especially.     We had a lovely holiday in Portsoy. The house is good value for money, in a great location, cosy with a fantastic enclosed garden. We really enjoyed the open fire and walks along the cliffs. The owners were very helpful and welcoming, there was a nice hamper on arrival. We did have an issue with the washing machine but this is going to be sorted. Would definately recommend.

    Off road parking and an excellent garden. Perfectly located for the amenities that Portsoy has to offer and a very short walk to the coastal path. Very relaxing and enjoyable week holiday in the cottage. Owner on hand for advice. Short drive to Cullen for the start of the Moray Coastal Path. Whilst on this coastal path, managed to see Dolphins out in the bay.

    Good area .Dont think its a 4 star .Few teething problems which ive left for owners .Dirty windows, peeling paint ,windows dont open.Not enuf seating for 5 in kitchen or outside in garden could do with bigger table.Tempremental dishwasher nd cooker Downstairs toilet nd spiraly staircase. .Might sound pickie but basic stuff you expect when hiring a holiday cottage.As we use cottages quite a few times over the years . Nice hamper nd bittle if wine on arrival.And comfy beds. Good enclosed walled swcure garden for kids and dogs . Good chip shop nd chinese .Chemist in village aswell .Oh and amazing icecream but be warned is very busy at the weekend .
