Location was very quiet, reached by winding steep roads but parking could be a bit of an issue. The cottage was quirky and beautiful, with every gadget needed and kitchen well stocked. Water pressure for bath / showers was not brilliant but internet connection was. There is no outside space whatsoever but this did not detract from our stay.

Very comfortable, cosy cottage. Homely touches in the decor such as cuddly blankets in the living room. Super kitchen - well equipped and with extras such as salt & pepper, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Yes, the stairs are steep - particularly to the top floor, but this is well advised in the property description. Downsides... No outdoor space at all. Parking is down the hill a bit. Would visit again 😊

The cottage was lovely and clean and we felt very comfortable there. We really appreciated the little touches, such as torches and emergency toiletries. We would definitely recommend the cottage.

Comfortable cottage with excellent beds though hanging space is limited. 2 luxurious bathrooms and well-stocked kitchen. Parking was a bit of a challenge. Pub only serves food at lunchtime but several others aren't too far away. Good walking country straight from house. We'd love to stay again.

Black mould on the window of 1st floor bedroom. Very damp & mouldy exterior wall of twin bedroom HAD to move the beds as it was so bad. Extremely steep stairs especially to the top floor. Difficult to fit 6 persons around the dining table. Only just managed to do so but then unable to get to sitting room or utility room lobby. Fridge freezer & microwave in utility room lobby which required you to go down 2 steps to fetch items from the fridge etc. Saucepans were dirty with food debris down the sides of a couple of saucepans. Round dining table - wobbly. No washing up bowl! Seal on bottom oven- broken! Only 3 teaspoons provided. No rubber backing to bath floor mats - a slippery accident waiting to happen. No extractor fan in bathroom. No parking outside property you had to take a chance in parking down the hill near the bus stop. Most of the above issues may be minor but when taken as a whole, Well! Damp definitely needs addressing. Smell as you enter the lobby/utility room wasn't pleasant.

Our 3rd visit to Dene Cottage so that shows how much we enjoy the place. It's snug but we like that it's cosy. Beds are super comfy and the cottage is lovely and warm.

Lovely cosy stay. The decor and furnishings are beautiful. Stunning location scenery and walks. Owner communication and helpfulness was the best. Could do with a log store for more firewood. Staircase very steep and slippy ...be careful! Overall a very nice weekend. Thank you.
