We really enjoyed our holiday here but were disappointed about the cleanliness. We arrived after long journey to not a tea bag, which would have been nice to even a small welcome pack so we could have a cuppa. The toaster was broken, the fridge door didn't shut properly and started to defrost twice, the oven doors didn't shut properly either. There was an ant problem in bottom bedroom shower room, and dead bugs all around the shower floor when we got there. The toilet seat in the living room area was rotting underneath.

Fabulous location and fully enclosed garden really good. Rustic inside and plenty of space, dust expected due to nature of building but really needs niches, etc. hoovering. Dishwasher doesn't wash properly as in other reviews, 2 washes got most things cleanish but still had to wash some by hand again afterwards. Fridge and freezer doors keep popping open, freezer almost keeps things frozen, good job we like soft ice cream! Bit awkward having the double bedroom with no access to shower/bath other than going into other room's en-suites. Need to take washing up liquid, scourers, dish washer tablets, kitchen roll, loo rolls - absolutely nothing provided other than 2 teatowels, a jaycloth, 5 dish washer tablets and one loo roll in each loo. No welcome pack, not even salt and pepper.

Lovely barn but could be great if a little care was taken not enough glasses provided dishwasher didn’t clean properly as no salt or rinse aid so plates and cups were dirty as were the glasses had to wash watering can full of cigarette butts not nice and no welcome pack
If these issues were addressed it would be great apart from that was a great break
Lovely barn in good location. Large ,well laid out space with nice enclosed garden. It could do with a little bit of TLC which would make it really top notch.

For a bigger group the value would be 10/10. We, a group of 4, found it very warm and cosy.
Only problem was poor attention to ‘edges and ledges’ cleaning.
Oh and there was no pub nearby
The only negatives. Could of been cleaner, especially the kitchen. Not enough toilet roll. 2 toilet seats damaged.
A bit far from the coast. Valances on the beds would look so much better. Dog foul on the lawn unfortunately.
Positives. Plenty of parking. Great building. Very warm house. Beds very comfortable. Plenty of hot water.
Functional and spacious, plant of room for our comfortable stay for 6 adults, two toddlers and 3 dogs. Short driving distances from the coast and other local towns and attractions. Enjoyable long weekend
Six of us spent 3 nights from the 30th December 2018 to celebrate the New Year. The location close to Wells, Blackeney and Cley was perfect for walking. The accommodation itself was nice but lacked a few touches that would have made the stay perfect. Firstly, the underfloor heating wasnt working so we had to contact the owner to try and get this going. After searching for numerous thermostats we believe we found the right one and the heating slowly came on. The attention to cleaning could be better as there appeared to be cob webs everywhere. Now we understand with the vaulted ceilings this can be challenging, but an attempt now and then would keep on top of it. The minimum of toilet rolls and no hand soap in the main bathrooms was also disappointing. The dishwasher also didnt perform too well and we had to perform our own maintenance on it to remove a blockage in the sprayers. One of the doors on the oven also wouldnt close properly, but this was a minor issue but does need attention. Overall we had a great time. We usually do as a group and have stayed in a number of properties together. Its disappointing to see owners not making that extra bit of effort to make your stay special and welcoming. Minor points maybe, but they do make all the difference.

Fabulous time spent at Dove Barn with all my family over christmas! It was comfortable and cosy with more than enough space for the 8 of us plus 2 dogs. The garden is secure to let the dogs run around without worrying about them getting out. It’s a beautiful barn and we would definitely return!
Dove barn was very nice and the setting was really nice lots of room for us and three dogs.It could have been cleaner lots od dust and cobwebs One of the towels had a large stain on it .the bath upstairs needed cleaning before use and there were finger nails on side of bath .Not enough bin begs .A welcome pack would have been nice .we have stayed in lots of cottages and this is the first that has not had one .Bathrooms had a damp smell ,especially after using the showers .The Windows were filthy .This is why we will not stay there again .
We had a family weekend at Dove Barn. This is a spacious property with comfortable beds in a lovely location. The living and kitchen area provided plenty of seating and the kitchen had everything we needed. The garden is enclosed and there is plenty of space for several cars.
A vase of fresh flowers and / or a small welcome treat would have been appreciated as would of sufficient toilet paper for the weekend! I also think that a little more cleaning would perhaps be helpful.
Overall, we had a lovely weekend, this is a great place for a larger family group.
