Dove Court is a stunning arrangement of five excellent holiday apartments that can be found on the south east coast of the Isle of Wight in the popular seaside town of Shanklin. The development offers an off road parking space for each apartment although it can also be easily reached by train from the mainland. The apartments are ideally positioned only a short distance from the beach and amenities that this delightful location has to offer.The original building dating back to the Victorian era, was a former gentleman’s residence and still retains many of its period features. The property was beautifully renovated in 2017 and now boasts light and airy spaces with a contemporary feel. All of the five apartments are furnished to a very good standard and offer a range of home comforts including an iron and a hair dryer. Each has access to either a balcony or terrace which offer an array of pleasant views for you to enjoy.Ash (ref UKC3960) is a spacious ground floor apartment that can accommodate up to four guests, and outside is a wrap-around terrace with garden furniture.Bay (ref UKC3961) is also a spacious ground floor apartment sleeping up to two guests and has a large walk in shower for less mobile visitors. Outside is a south facing patio with garden furniture.Cedar (ref UKC3962), a first floor apartment accommodating up to four guests, has access to a roof terrace with garden furniture and elevated views.Elm (ref UKC3963) is also a spacious first floor apartment for four guests and has a Juliette balcony with sea views. It also has its own furnished patio accessed via stairs.Fir (ref UKC3964) is another ground floor apartment ideal for a couple, and has an outside seating area with garden furniture.All properties have views towards the town and the Downs or out to sea, and a selection of board games to keep you all entertained during inclement weather.Shanklin has an abundance of shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants, all just a short distance from the property. The ‘Old Village’, which as the name suggests, is the oldest part of the town, is a pleasure to explore with its pretty thatched buildings and quirky gift shops. The beach is really popular with families and is the ideal place to sample some fresh seafood or an Isle of Wight cream tea! The surrounding cliff paths are excellent for gentle strolls or bike rides and the views of the bay are stunning.There are numerous attractions across the island to discover for all ages, including The Needles with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Visit Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, Ventnor Botanic Garden, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes. No visit to Shanklin would be complete without a walk down to the beach through Shanklin Chine, a deep wooded gorge with waterfalls. Whatever you decide, one thing’s for sure, the Isle of Wight has plenty to keep you occupied. Beach ½ mile.
