With private parking for one car, you can simply park up for the duration of your stay and explore on foot or make use of the excellent transport options available, Stagecoach bus company, The Mountain Goat or even the famous Windermere  Lake Steamers.
    Dovera is a beautifully presented contemporary apartment, decorated in muted shades with splashes of colour provided by way of interesting accessories and quality furnishings to ensure your comfort. The stylish bathroom is just the spot for a relaxing soak after a hard day sightseeing whilst the well equipped, chic kitchen is sure to bring out the creative side in even the most novice of cooks although with so many excellent restaurants to sample in Bowness, this area of the apartment may not be used to its full potential!

    Great location. Excellent to have an allocated parking space. WiFi would have been good but other than that the flat had everything we needed. A great base for kayaking, cycling and walking.

    A really great holiday flat, in a quiet location but close to all the action! The photos don’t do the place justice- it’s just lovely. Clean and modern enough to have all you need. All you could want for a short break. WiFi and towels would make it a 5* but I suppose you get what you pay for, and this place isn’t expensive.

    Great apartment half way in between Bowness and Windermere, in quiet surroundings, but not far from the action. Easy walk out to Cafes, Restaurants and trips out - no need to take the car unless you want to. Very clean and well equipped, great value for money.

    Very nice stay but we really are not keen on storage heaters. At times it was cold in the living area. The directions could be simplified. An earlier check in time would be preferred when you consider you have to leave by 10am.

    Excellent value for money, beautiful apartment, well equipped. I wrote some more constructive comments in the visitor book. Main issue: We forgot towels, and I know it was on the booking info - but it was on page 2 - no-one reads page 2 ( I do design and marketing so I know. and I also know because I didn't read page 2, in fact I struggled to find it) point is - either start supplying towels OR put the reminder in bold on the front page "don't forget your towels" No Wifi - we knew this and it wasn't really a problem for us, it's nice to escape the internet sometimes but people do expect it, so I guess it would be good to have.

    Only downsides were: 1. The temperamental TV which sometimes didn’t want to switch on (not the remote or batteries - had to switch off at the socket and then switch back on) which had been mentioned a number of times in the comments book in the flat. 2. The seal to the bottom of the shower screen which was black with mould and didn’t seal very well 3. The lack of WiFi which we knew about beforehand but really is taken as a given nowadays

    Well appointed apartment. Great location, just a short stroll to shops/pubs/restaurants and lake. A few minor issues that if rectified would make this a 5* property. TV ideally needs replacing - Remote on/off switch does not work and on/off button on TV not much better! Can take quite a few attempts to switch it on. ipod dock not working. No internet (although this may be a relief for some, others have to stay in contact with their place of work, even though they are on holiday!). All that said, would definitely recommend and would use again.

    We had a very good time and local amentities were just a footstep away . The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed . However it would be better if there was WiFi available in the property

    A lovely apartment located within a short stroll of Bowness itself. Easy parking which is essential or this area. Apartment itself was well presented, couple of minor snags which should have been picked up with cleaning. The shower bar on the glass screen is black with mould and could be easily cleaned or replaced at a low cost. A few light bulbs where not working again a minor point but something that should be picked up on. Inside the fridge there is a drain point/plug this was black with mould and growth which I took out cleaned and put back. Two minute job, but a job that should have been done. Inside the dishwasher was broken glass, again minor job but something I would expect to be done before I got there. Although I have listed a couple of snags above this wouldnt stop me staying again, nice sized place, well presented with its fittings. Note there are four flights of stairs to this apartment, so if staying with younger children take this into account..
