The East Wing (ref MTC) is a substantial and gracious self-contained Georgian property which is Grade II listed and enjoys its own large garden. Set midway between Alnwick and Rothbury these properties are surrounded by stunning countryside peppered with friendly Northumbrian villages. A short drive leads to the glorious Northumbrian Heritage Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with castles, fortresses and golden unspoilt beaches. Excellent walks and golf can be enjoyed in the surrounding countryside, whilst fishing on-site and pheasant shooting in season can be arranged with the owner. Rothbury, set along the river, offers lovely little shops and inns, whilst Alnwick is famous for its majestic castle used in Harry Potter. Many National Trust properties nearby include Cragside with its magnificent gardens and hall. Visit Craster or Seahouses before taking a boat trip over to the Farne Islands to see the seals and birds. Take in Holy Island for a historic step back in time. Shop 4 miles, pub 3 miles.

    Excellent location, quiet and perfect for the kids to run around. Not close to any amenities but very nice house with plenty of room great Base for day trips to the whole area

    Wonderful location, well off the beaten track with no phone signal, peaceful! Although for those who need to have outside communication the WiFi works well. Beautiful family farmhouse style kitchen, loved the Aga. Kids had a ball with the pheasants and lots of room to run around outside.
