Lovely home from home cottage. Well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful scenery and worth a climb up the hill to admire the amazing view.

Had a great time at the cottage. Had everything we needed and Shiela and Alec were fantastic hosts showing us around the farm. Shiela even rushed up to pick the kids up on the quad to take them down to see a calf being born. They loved it. Thanks again for everything.

Really enjoyed stay at the cottage lovely clean and comfortable.

Great place to stay. Really great home. So good to be involved in feeding the calves. Sheila was a great host. Ballantrae is well equipped for such a small town. We suggested a few things to Sheila to.improve the customer experience and she did them. Great holiday

Our family had fabulous time. Weather was great for few days. We could go on nice walks around. Had the opportunity to climb up the hill for spectacular views. Landlord was very informative. She took us around their farm and had the opportunity to feed calves. Could see all the work goes around for getting the milk to shops and eventually us. Accommodation was fantastic. Rate quality of time spent at the cottage very high.

I do feel I need to leave an honest review for others and the owner. Sheila was amazingly helpful and the views were amazing. However, I wish I’d booked the other cottage- which was stunning. The of our kitchen interior was very dated, the kitchen def needs a refurb and there is nowhere to put anything. The bathroom was not clean. I had to purchase a mildew remover for the whole shower. Additionally, the rear garden was not totally pet friendly.. however Sheila did help to resolve this temporarily.

    out of 10

Sheila was very friendly and helpful with extensive knowledge of the local area and its amenities. All in all we had a great holiday the only thing that could have been better was the weather.
