Fantastic cottage, well equipped with everything needed for a wonderful holiday. Comfy beds, good quilts, easy to use appliances. Decking overlooking harbour. Village lacks a general store but the smokehouse and cafe do a fine job between them, cafe let us buy a couple of things we needed, and the smokehouse has a very good selection.

The location of this cottage is beautiful. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend a stay here at the moment as it just felt jaded inside. A broken blind, loo-roll holders falling off, three teaspoons... I appreciate that I could have reported these during my stay, but I really shouldn’t have to: it’s what cleaning time on changeover day is for. The lady who owns the cottage really is lovely and there are some nice touches to the place which would be far better after a couple of hours of DIY.

Driftwood is a very comfortable cottage in Craster right on the coast. It is perfect for couples but might be a little cosy if you have 4 people in it. Everything you need for an excellent holiday is included. There is a seating area both front and back but be aware that there is nowhere for kids to run around if you are going as a family. There is an enclosed play area in Craster though. All in all a lovely cottage in a lovely location.

Charming, comfy and cosy, Driftwood was a fantastic home-from-home for our week's vacation. It was very well equipped and a tea-tray set out for us on our arrival was a lovely, welcoming touch. A soft, squishy double bed and firmer twin beds means everyone should be happy! We loved being able to sit out on front decked patio for lunch and enjoy the harbour view, albeit we amply sampled both the Jolly Fisherman and the Craster Seafood Restaurant too - both have great food! It was marvellous being only minutes from the Northumberland Coast Path with fabulous walks to the south & north of Craster and there is so much to see in the nearby area.

The cottage is well positioned and location is excellent. Attention to detail is somewhat lacking though. Back yard wasn’t a pleasant area to sit, the shower was blocked (we did report this and no one came to sort it) stained toilet seat, out of date left over food in the cupboard, insufficient glasses for a fizz celebration and the cottage is a bit jaded downstairs. These were all really minor points but really could have made a difference to improve our stay. However the bedrooms were very nice and the beds extremely comfy.

This is our second holiday at Driftwood Cottage & we enjoyed another lovely week. The cottage is very cosy & welcoming, with everything we need for a self-catering holiday. The location is superb with the magical Dunstanburgh Castle very close by, & seascapes & country walks from the the doorstep. All the places you could wish to visit are a few minutes drive away, & when you've finished, Driftwood Cottage provides a wonderfully relaxing home from home to return to.

A lovely warm, clean and cozy cottage. Thoroughly recommend the Jolly Fisherman. Only issue was the wi fi connection which was poor. Very slow and waved in and out. Frustrating for the photographer with me. If not important, a wonderful holiday.

Nice little cottage just up from the sea in a quaint seaside village with great access to the coast for walking and sightseeing. Cottage could have been a lot cleaner and better equipped but overall we had a nice stay and it’s well located.
