A comfortable cottage with a lovely outlook in an unspoilt village from where the many treasures which Northumberland has to offer can be explored.

Comfortable well equipped cottage with period charm in a quaint fishing village. Located on a beautiful coastline with much to explore nearby, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, Seahouses, Amble and Alnmouth. Alnwick only 6miles offers good amenities, interesting independent shops and in season the wonderful Alnwick Castle and Gardens

Driftwood cottage was an ideal place to spend Christmas. It was so warm & cosy with the wood burner & candles lit. The cottage was comfortable & spacious enough for 4 adults & 2 dogs small dogs. The bedrooms are really pretty with good quality bedding. Jan & Steve were very welcoming & friendly & the Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. The cottage is well located in the heart of the village with a lovely view of the harbour. We enjoyed a lovely family crib service at St Peter the Fisherman’s church in the village on Christmas Eve. I highly recommend the refurbished village pub, The Jolly Fisherman, for drinks & food. It has a really nice atmosphere. A walk to Dunstanburgh castle and onto Low-Newton-by-the-sea via the beach & back is a must.

Driftwood Cottage is in a fantastic location to enjoy Craster and it’s surrounding countryside. If your a runner, walker, photographer or cyclist this is most definitely the area for you. The cottage is very welcoming with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and cozy sitting room. It easily accommodates 4 people.

Excellent location and very cosy cottage. However, the cottage is starting to look a bit worn out and in need of some general maintenance. In addition and as you are in a countryside / seaside / farming environment you do get some small furry guests in the house. We attempted to block some holes around the property but small field mice still get in. Although both my wife and me are not bothered about mice, even when I saw one sitting on the side table watching us eat our dinner. This might cause alarm to others.

A lovely cottage, a great harbour view with superb access to the coastal path and beaches.

Fantastic cottage, well equipped with everything needed for a wonderful holiday. Comfy beds, good quilts, easy to use appliances. Decking overlooking harbour. Village lacks a general store but the smokehouse and cafe do a fine job between them, cafe let us buy a couple of things we needed, and the smokehouse has a very good selection.

The location of this cottage is beautiful. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend a stay here at the moment as it just felt jaded inside. A broken blind, loo-roll holders falling off, three teaspoons... I appreciate that I could have reported these during my stay, but I really shouldn’t have to: it’s what cleaning time on changeover day is for. The lady who owns the cottage really is lovely and there are some nice touches to the place which would be far better after a couple of hours of DIY.

Really nice property to stay and tour the area. Would highly recommend.

Driftwood is a very comfortable cottage in Craster right on the coast. It is perfect for couples but might be a little cosy if you have 4 people in it. Everything you need for an excellent holiday is included. There is a seating area both front and back but be aware that there is nowhere for kids to run around if you are going as a family. There is an enclosed play area in Craster though. All in all a lovely cottage in a lovely location.

Charming, comfy and cosy, Driftwood was a fantastic home-from-home for our week's vacation. It was very well equipped and a tea-tray set out for us on our arrival was a lovely, welcoming touch. A soft, squishy double bed and firmer twin beds means everyone should be happy! We loved being able to sit out on front decked patio for lunch and enjoy the harbour view, albeit we amply sampled both the Jolly Fisherman and the Craster Seafood Restaurant too - both have great food! It was marvellous being only minutes from the Northumberland Coast Path with fabulous walks to the south & north of Craster and there is so much to see in the nearby area.
