Lovely cottage, well situated in the village. It very well fitted out with everything you could need. Be prepared to have a problem with parking. If you cant park by the harbour wall which is the cheapest the car park at the top is very expensive per day. So the lower one is full by 5pm every day. The pub is around the corner which is nice but busy and there is an excellent restaurant next door, but expensive. Found a better pub in Paul just up the road but you have to drive, and will risk loosing your parking space in the harbour, even in Feb. Very friendly village and well placed for everything in the south of Cornwall.

Beautiful home, great setting, Mousehole is a stunning and quaint place and a great destination for slowing down for a few days. The cottage has 3 comfortable bedrooms, I know which aren't pictured, but really are lovely. The downstairs has a walk-in lounge, large round table and tiny kitchenette area (an overflow from the upstairs larger kitchen). Its got a small double bedroom and ensuite which is cosy. Up the spiral staircase (great for kids - but there is a stair guard!) you walk into the kitchen area which has an off-shoot bedroom (2 single beds and space on the floor for their travel cot), and another larger double bedroom which has a Juilette balcony and opening door. The family-bathroom has a shower and is sizeable. Its definitely warm and cosy, the TV is a little slow and difficult to figure out, but does work. The wifi is good. There is no parking, and so plan how to unload your stuff quickly from the car before going to park it as its only a small lane and you can't block the road! The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need and their gesture of a few treats is a welcomed enjoyment! They have a few board games and other books to peruse from too. Definitely worth the trip. Thank you.

We had a great week in Mousehole, our rental cottage “Driftwood” was in a superb position for all the local amenities in Mousehole. Whilst the cottage was well equipped, there were a few little points that we felt could have been improved to make this an excellent rather than a standard level of accommodation. The downstairs is rather cluttered for our personal taste and if you were using the downstairs kitchen (the property has two) you would have to dodge around the large spiral staircase to use the sink, washing machine or get to cupboards. The ground floor bedroom has no hanging space at all & the en-suite shower room is very small and claustrophobic. There were cleaning tools I,e. Hoover, Mop etc left in open sight on the floor of the lounge diner as there is no cupboard to put them in, this made the place look rather messy. The couches in the lounge area are very saggy and uncomfortable if you spend any significant amount of time sitting on them, luckily we were out and about most of the time so didn’t need to. The lack of regular heating in such a rental property leads to a musty feel which some would say you may expect in granite stone cottage. The upstairs bedrooms were much nicer and had better storage, however the double bedroom has very limited space either side of the bed and bedside shelving needs addressing. The upstairs family bathroom was large but the shower cubicle has seen better days, with the sliding doors being stiff and in need of some attention. Despite all these niggling issues we enjoyed our stay but having stayed in other rental properties, and with so many on offer in the area the owners may like to look with fresh eyes to make some small improvements which might increase their bookings.

The cottage was nice but very dated, wasn’t clear House was up an alley and that parking was so difficult. Some days I had to park over a mile away and the harbour parking is horrendous. The lounge area felt a bit damp and had a must smell which wasn’t great, the house was very clean though overall. I wouldn’t recommend families staying there.

Very well equipped cottage. Surprisingly roomy. Excellent location - very close to beach, pub, restaurants. Very efficient bus service at bottom of street.
