A perfect tranquil retreat and is south facing to enjoy the best of the sun every day from the private decking with barbecue. It is conveniently close to the shore side offering a waterside escape for guests who want to enjoy the stunning scenery and the peace of outdoors or if you are more adventurous - go wild swimming from our pontoon.
Not only has Dundonald Landing Palm 3 been thoughtfully designed by the owner to offer luxury and comfort, but there are some fantastic flashes of brilliance! You’ll love the LED mood lighting and the glitzy bar area perfect for after dinner cocktails! Fitted out to provide more than the comforts of home, there’s a spacious open plan living space complete with gas-fired wood-burning effect stove, a cosy rotating snuggle sofa, large Smart TV and to top it all, glazed doors which open up the whole front of the lodge onto a decked area with outside furniture and barbecue. The two spacious, comfortable bedrooms, one king-size, one twin – both have televisions and en-suite walk in shower rooms, the second bedroom has facilities for wheechair access. The private Hot-tub is tucked away behind the lodge through Stable doors.
A private jetty opening onto Loch Etive is available for your use - ideal to fish from and to keep a kayak or small boat close-by to enjoy the best of the waterside location. The narrow single-track access road leads along the north shore of Loch Etive and is ideal for cycling and walking along the shoreline.
There are beautiful gardens to visit along this road at Ardchattan Priory. The lodge is a leisurely and scenic hour’s walk to the villages of Benderloch, Connel and North Connel where you will find licensed general store, café, and a hotel with a bar to rest and relax in. You are also within easy reach of the Oban to Fort William cycle path - a wonderful scenic route almost entirely traffic free using parts of the old railway line, forest paths and along the roadside - a fantastic opportunity for safe cycling. The nearest village of North Connel, offers a loch-side hotel with restaurant and bar, perfect for an evening stroll.
You’re also only a five-minute drive from Connel, famous for the tidal race underneath the Connel Bridge, the Falls of Lora, an amazing natural attraction. Connel has a licensed store, post office, hotel and bar. Close-by is Dunstaffnage Castle and the Ocean Explorer Centre in the village of Dunbeg which also has a very popular Garden Centre with café. The village of Benderloch is easily accessible across the “Moss Road”, forming part of the Lynn of Lorn National Scenic Area and is home of the lovely sandy Tralee beach and Ben Lora woodland walks. Oban, a bustling west coast harbour town is just seven miles away and has lots going on for the visitor at any time of the year.
In keeping with its reputation as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, there are some excellent restaurants, cafés and pubs nearby serving locally caught seafood. Known as the “Gateway to the Isles”, its ideal for visiting the many islands closeby , such as Mull, Iona, Staffa, Lismore. You are ideally situated for visiting many Argyll attractions. Within 1 hour’s drive of North Connel, Inveraray, the ancient capital of Argyll, with its Castle and Jail, is a fun day out for the family or take a trip to Fort William to see Ben Nevis or enjoy the scenery of Glencoe.
