The town is located in a valley near the point where the River Conwy is joined by the River Llugwy and the River Lledr and was founded in the late sixth century around a monastery. It has an interesting range of shops and eating establishments and is an excellent base from which to explore both the mountains of Snowdonia and the stunning North Wales Coast.     The heating and hot water not working upon arrival for 48 hours. The owners did what they could as quickly as they could but had to buy logs etc to try and get the place warm. Once heating was fixed it was fabulous

    Beautiful property, kitted out to a very high standard. Easy access to local amenities and surrounding locations, a very good central base. It was nice to be able to walk to the local pubs/hotels/restaurants for meals in the evening instead of driving. First impressions were fantastic, clean, all equipment supplied and in excellent working condition. If you like wildlife this property will also tick boxes for you. The bird feeders were always busy and in the evening you can hear the local Tawny Owl! This is me being super picky, it would have been nice to have a welcome pack explaining things such as what day to put the bins out (we found this information in a drawer), how to adjust the heating and have a tea towel supplied (we never use dishwashers). These aren't negatives, just additional things that would have been handy. More so the bin information, although we put the bins out the recycling was already full from previous holiday makers. We decided to take the rest down to the local recycling bin by the train station on our departure. We have already discussed about coming back to stay again next year! Overall a big thumbs up from all in our party!

    The house is just great. Spacious and clean in a great location. The garden is perfect for relaxing and / or for energetic children and dogs to burn off some of the excess energy. The house has everything you would need. A fully fitted kitchen with all the appliances & utensils. Washing machine could do with a thorough clean as it is a little smelly. We just love it at Dyffryn!

    We loved Dyffryn. The cottage was very comfortable and spacious. Also very well equipped. Very handy for the centre of Betws y Coed, only 10 mins walk. Loads of places to eat nearby. We loved Hanging Pizzeria so much we went twice! We would definitely go back.
