Off the kitchen is the light-filled dining area with a mezzanine sitting room above. The generous farmhouse table can easily seat eight. The garden beyond the bifold doors will certainly be a firm favourite with children and adults alike, there are estuary views from here. An outdoor south-facing dining space and patio complete the family-friendly space. On the first floor are two generous double bedrooms, a twin room, a charming fourth bedroom with bunk beds as well as an enormous bathroom. All the bedrooms are sensitively decorated and furnished to enhance the historic feel of this proud house. Surprise touches such as original modern artworks bring the house gently into the 21st Century. The views to the rear are all dominated by the stunning shoreline of Llanseffan Beach and its cluster of village houses.
A five-minute amble and you arrive at Llansteffan beach. A wonderful unspoiled sandy shore on the estuary, ideal for sandcastles and birdwatching. Llansteffan is a quiet spot ideal for a relaxing break. The local gastropub is literally a two minute walk away, serving great food. It has a beer garden to enjoy too, as well as live music on Sunday afternoons. Across the road is The Old Post Office Village Store and Deli for great coffee and homemade ready meals for you to enjoy. You can order the ingredients for a full Welsh Sunday lunch to cook at home- and they deliver. The deli hosts great themed evenings. Jostle amongst the locals and see if your Welsh comes up to scratch. Just a stroll away the castle cannot fail to impress. It stands on a pretty wooded headland looking out over the Tywi Estuary. Fantastic for bringing history to life for children.
