This is a comfortable cottage very clean and practical with wonderful views across the loch, but be advised. If you are looking for local amenities and night life this is not for you. It was disappointing not to be greeted by anybody on arrival at the house and we were guided in by the instructions provided. The property is situated in a very rural location on a headland which at times was extremely windy. The nearest shop some five miles away. The local pub is approx. 18 miles and the nearest settlement Dunvegan is 11 miles from the property. There is a wonderful café I can highly recommend serving home made foods but with limited opening times. The local restaurant comes with great reviews on quality of food but comes with a high price. Traveling around the Isle of Skye means a distance of 11 miles via single track road to a major road. Portree the largest town is 34 miles from the property. However if like me you enjoy the remote peace and quiet this is a wonderful place to be. Wildlife reported to be sited include Golden Eagles, dolphins, minke whale and otters in the bay. Deer in the garden and from the headland the northern lights frequently seen. I enjoyed my stay and can`t say I tired of the travel each trip out along the same single track road. But it isn`t for everyone

The cottage was lovely and the scenery beautiful. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen but only seven plates of both sizes. Which meant there was insufficient items to make proper use of the dishwasher as there was not enough plates for a second meal. With the cottage being on open land it might be worth mentioning that a young family would need to be mindful of the sheep manure. The key code box was not working and we found the patio door ready for our arrival.

Eas Mor is a beautiful holiday cottage, finished and equiped to a very high standard. The cottage was very clean and cosy, although the sofas are a little low. Situated on the breathtaking north west coast of Skye the views across the Minch to the Hebradise are jaw droppingly beautiful. The cottage is to say the least out of the way, but this suited us, I would go back in a heartbeat. Local aminities are sparce but with a bit of planning this is easily overcome. If you want peace and quiet and a chance to draw breath and reconnect this idilic location is a must.

Great cottage to get away from the fast pace of modern life. Comfortable sofas, great kitchen and good view over the loch.

Had a lovely time at this cottage. Has everything you need and more, lovely remote location (if that’s what you desire) which we did. Extremely windy whilst we were there, I don’t know if it’s always like that but it was Very bad. Obviously no one is to blame for this, and may have been just a one off. I was worried the kids wouldn’t like how remote it was but there are plenty of things to do in just a car journey. Such a beautiful part of the country. We were all very happy to see the seals down at the harbour, and lucky enough to see the stags and deer. Locals were very friendly. There was some confusion with the contact name for the care taker, on the booking form it gave me one name and in the information file in the cottage it was a totally different person. Unfortunately someone had reported the dining table chair broken which hadn’t been fixed so we were unable to enjoy a family meal together around the table but I would return and my daughter who’s 8 said she would like to for longer next time ?

Had an absolutely fantastic holiday at Eas Mor. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The multi fuel burner was used nightly. The views are incredible across to Dunvegan Head. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beds incredibly comfortable and kitchen well equipped. The slight downside was not enough hot water for baths but a very minor point. We’d go back tomorrow. No internet access but we used a 3 dongle for mobile aces which worked well. Useful For planning trips and weather forecasts (which were wholly inaccurate anyway!). Highly recommended place to stay!
