Ebba’s Tide is a detached bungalow which is nestled behind the sand dunes of Beadnell Bay. This stunning property sits within a development of similar ‘New England’ clapboard style properties, which are known as Beadnell Point. The accommodation within Ebba’s Tide is extremely well presented throughout. Full height glass in the open plan living space enhances its bright and airy ambience and the friendly comfort of the wood burner ensures a warm welcome, regardless of the season. Both bedrooms are beautifully furnished with much care, thought and attention to detail. The fresh bathroom has the added convenience of a separate shower cubicle too. A decked area at the rear is perfect for dining alfresco and embracing the sea air.
Beadnell is a popular holiday destination and offers local facilities, including a well-stocked village shop and family friendly pubs, serving good food. The wide expanse of golden sandy beach that Beadnell Bay is renowned for is within a gentle stroll from Ebba’s Tide. This is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, including sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba diving. Beadnell Bay can truly be described as the jewel in Northumberland’s seaside crown, which is an idyllic setting for a romantic barefoot stroll in the sand, whilst listening to the waves lap against the shoreline and inhaling the invigorating sea air. 2 miles up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands – famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony – depart regularly from its harbour. Here there are several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs and shops, as well as horse riding, fishing and golf on the links close by. A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, which lies snuggled into the shadow of its majestic fortress, and commands the power and presence of the seasoned television location it regularly becomes. Holy Island – the birthplace of christianity and site of Lindisfarne Castle – can be seen from the unspoilt golden, sandy beach. Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy!). Visitors will also enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden – a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe!
Ebba’s Tide is an excellent choice for those seeking very smart coastal accommodation, which is conveniently situated within easy walking distance to a beautiful expanse of golden sands, making Ebba’s Tide a superb selection for a traditional seaside holiday set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 800 yards.

Great location, house well equipped and being dog friendly made it an obvious choice for our holiday. Lovely walks on the doorstep. Love Northumberland and Ebba's Tide is a little jewel to be discovered there.

We absolutely loved staying in Ebba's tide! Everything was spotless, the kitchen equipment is the best we've ever had in any self catering accommodate we've stayed in. The location is perfect, just a two minute walk to Beadnell Bay beach, so a definite hit. We saw so much wildlife too, including a hare in the back garden! We would definitely come and stay again as I could not fault a thing.

We had a lovely week over May Half term in Ebba's Tide. The cottage was lovely and is just as it appears in the photos - very clean and well presented. Reasonably well stocked kitchen. The cottage is just a couple of minutes walk from Beadnell beach which is great for watersports and walking. We also made use of the onsite tennis courts. Lots to do in the local area - Seahouses with its trips to the Farne Islands, Bamburgh Castle and beautiful walking to Dunstanburgh Castle. Alnwick is only about 30 mins drive away.

Ebba's Tide is a beautifully kitted out and homely property, one of the nicest holiday houses we've stayed in. The tennis courts shared with the development are a great asset too, we had almost exclusive use of them though a lot of the other houses were not occupied. the welcome bottle of wine, biscuits and dog treats also were a lovely touch. Beadnall is a lovely spot and great for walks and exploring, and great beaches. Lots to do and all brilliantly dog friendly pubs and cafes. One of the local pub/hotels was closed for refurbishment which may explain why the Craster Arms was a bit chaotic, but there are plenty other options too.

Terrific cottage which was spotlessly clean on arrival! 4K Tv & fiber broadband kept the kids happy and the beach nearby at Beadnell bay is just magic. 7 days flew in, we hope to return soon also and I can’t recommend this cottage highly enough. Magical!!!

I love coming back to Ebbas tide after a long day out, it is so beautifully decorated, looks like something out of the costal magazine. Everything is just so. If you are going to book this property you won't be disappointed. It is so well equipped with everything you need to have a perfect holiday. It's a stones throw from a beautiful beach and a nice walk inot the village and shop.

Excellent week away with family, Ebbas Tide has everything’s you would require, nothing has been overlooked, very warm and cosy ? good location for exploring the surrounding area and a stones throw from Beadnell Bay. Close to Low Newton By The Sea and the excellent Ship Inn with its own micro brewery (recommend the Squid Ink Stout) and a great walk to Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle. Will no doubt be back!
