Excellent accommodation [3 large bedrooms all en suite] and location let down by a number of small 'housekeeping' oversights and lack of response to minor complaints/problems

I really like this house and it's in a good location, within easy reach of beautiful areas and things to do but it does feel a bit neglected and could do with some TLC. There is a hole in the kitchen floor and a drip from the boiler. There were only 2 teaspoons and the fridge and cooker had not been cleaned. The kitchen bin lid is broken. One of the velux windows upstairs is all cracked. However the house is spacious and the beds are comfortable and it suits our family fine, I just wish they would look after it a bit better!

Lovely location and the local people are great. The Farmhouse needs a really good clean as it is filthy. Carpets are dirty and stained. The kitchen needs to be deep cleaned; I could not cook as the cooker and hob were so dirty. There is damp on the walls and plasterboard is coming off the walls in the lounge. There is a musty smell throughout the property. I searched for a hoover so I could clean, but there is not one available. The bathrooms are grimey and have mold on the tiles.

A very spacious house. Well equipped.Ideal location for exploring the Forest of Dean. Many interesting places to visit near by. Delightful walks. Local pub very welcoming. Perrygrove Railway and Puzzlewood only a 5 min drive or 20 minute walk away. Ideal if you are a golfer because it's on a golf course. My only criticism would be the garden needs a little TLC and there is a structural flooring fault with the kitchen floor which wasn't a problem for us but could be for someone with mobility issues.

Plenty of space, big bedrooms, great to have all rooms ensuite. Quiet location, but easy to get to and lots to do in the local area. Staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful, great food at the restaurant. There are a few points, as mentioned in other reviews, where the property would benefit from some repair/redecoration, but this would not stop me from booking again.

Really large and airy property! Great enclosed garden and area out the back brilliant for dogs. Large enough lounge to seat everyone comfortably! The bad bits; Kitchen had a hole in floor and coming away at window, no blinds so felt a bit exposed, all toilets didn't flush very well, lounge had a patch of wall needed redecorating (from previous water leak ). One Bedroom had toilet roll holder hanging off wall. Top room had broken glass in window and slats under one bed broken. We also had problem with wasps in top room as well as ants in kitchen although it was a hot weekend. Regardless of these issues the price and the room that you get outweigh them and ideal for 6 adults and 2 large dogs. We would stay again but would be better if some of these Issues were addressed

Excellent accomodation and very good value for money. Stunning location and would definitely recommend for family and friends. I would stay again.
