This well-situated holiday property is in the grounds of the owner’s home along with three other holiday properties, and has wonderful views out over the surrounding countryside. The owner offers a home cooked meal on arrival by prior arrangement and extra charge. The sheltered southern coast of the Llyn Peninsula harbours a wealth of sandy beaches and coves, the nearest being a mere 1½ miles away. Here a temperate climate offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities: sailing, windsurfing and water-skiing facilities abound, and there are some beautiful footpaths along the shore. Some of Wales’ best beaches are to be found an easy drive away at the tip of the peninsula: Abersoch and Aberdaron in particular offer wide sandy stretches, popular with water sports enthusiasts. Nearby, the coastal town of Criccieth has a sandy beach at low tide and a 13th-century castle perched on a rocky headland. Across the bay, Harlech Castle stands as another testament to more turbulent times. For shopping, good dining and a weekly street market, visit the bustling port town of Pwllheli, 9 miles, while the holiday centre of Porthmadog has a wide range of facilities for rock climbing, riding, canoeing and fishing and there are three train stations offering scenic rides by steam train. From here it is an easy drive to visit the beautiful Italianate village of Portmeirion, with its forest walks, gardens and sandy beach. Excellent walking and mountaineering locally. Three golf courses (negotiated rates for local course) and fishing are available nearby. Guests can take advantage of a 20% discount on fishing at the owner’s fishery, 500 yards from cottage. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
Bwthyn Bach can be booked together with Ty Mawr (OCC), Glas y Dorlan (UK6509) and Eisteddfa (UK6551) to accommodate up to 24 guests.

Excellent value for money especially with the added bonus of the hot tub. Cottage small but cosy, ideal for 2 . Dog friendly including in the on site cafe which sells good home cooked food especially the full Welsh breakfast. Lovely views and close to local amenities and beaches. Would highly recommend.

The accomodation is absolutely not suitable for persons over 1,85 meters. There is minimal storage space for your luggage. The kitchen equipment is outdated

The location is superb, 5 mins by car to the seaside, around 15 mins and you are in the mountains. A spectacular view from the (small) living room and even better from the hot tub. A nice walk of about 30 minutes to the next village with pubs, shops, and the beach. The cottage is perfect for 2 people. Only a dining table is lacking but there is a small table for breakfast. Very friendly owners! We had a very good time in Wales! Bhavani and Karsten (from Germany)

I loved this quirky, Hobbit House Yes its tiny but everything is there. I had a meal waiting for me when I arrived supplied by Jane at a very reasonable price. If you are looking for somewhere filled with character this little place has it in spades. My 2dogs loved it too, I will certainly return to this gem Diana

Could not recommend this lovely little gem enough. The cottage was immaculately clean, anything needed for cooking ( utensils etc ) was there. This is was just the tonic I needed to recharge my batteries and also relax. The views from the cottage were so tranquil. The finishing touches like the welcome drinks and waffle biscuits and fresh flowers put the icing on the cake. The dogs also highly enjoyed their holiday. Well done Jane and Tom, I shall definitely be returning, keep up the good work.

Really nicely presented and comfy little property. It wasn't the fault of the owner that we picked the coldest and wettest week of the year so far,but it was quite hard to stay warm. The storage heaters did not seem very efficient, and it took time for the woodburner to really heat up. This is offered for information if you're considering a winter trip, but doesn't detract from the overall quality of the cottage and location. We really did enjoy it, and that part of north wales really is beautiful.

Bwythn Bach.....A very nice compact but comfortable property. The interior is all on one level, entering from the front door one walks into the small living room which offers, a Tv, a two seater settee and a chair. Also there is a wood burner, which the owners supplied logs to burn. There is a very pleasant view from the window looking down into a valley and across to mountains. From the Living area one enters the kitchen/dining room. There is an electric cooker/oven and a small fridge with various cupboards and drawers containing assorted utensils. The next and last room is the bedroom in which there is a very comfortable double bed and an en-suite toilet shower. There is also a small cupboard which houses various cleaning tools. The property we found to be very warm especially with the wood burner in use. The only perhaps minor weary was that the doors starting at the front door and going through the property were not always able to shut or open. But that aside we spent a very pleasant week in Bwythn Bach. There is also a recently installed exterior Hot Tub There was ample hot (very) water again a slight irritant the taps in the kitchen were very loose but no leaks and both hot and cold water was delivered. There is WiFi in the property however upon our arrival it was not working the owners summoned an engineer and fixed the problem, however we found the strength of the signal to be quite weak. Sorry no pix as this site will not accept photo's from my library
