Hoseasons "Outdoor heated swimming pool At the foot of Grabbist Hill NT in the Exmoor National Park these four beautifully furnished and well-equipped Grade II listed cottages are set in the grounds of 16th century Ellicombe Manor. Clustered around a cobbled courtyard they enjoy shared use of an outdoor heated swimming pool with its own walled area and poolside furniture and an acre of magnificent sub tropical gardens and 3-acre paddock offering views over the West Somerset Steam Railway and across the Bristol Channel to the Welsh coast. We have visited this cottage many times. The location is excellent, as you are out in the country, but within walking distance to Minehead. The grounds around the cottage are superb, particularly if you have a four legged friend with you, which we did. The cottage itself, has everything you need for a self catering cottage, but no wifi. The owners are very accommodating and friendly, always available if you have a query. The swimming pool area is a huge attraction, particularly if you have children. It is immaculately clean and surprisingly warm. We have always had a lovely time here and we recommend the steam train into Watchet for a lovely pub lunch. Many thanks to the owners, who have always made a huge fuss of our son and chocolate Labrador.

Good base just outside Minehead. Well equipped kitchen, recycling bins in the adjoining barn. Sleeps 4 by we were only 2. Both bedrooms contain a double bed and are small but, for a week’s holiday, no problem! Very nice shower room. Warm and cosy. Lovely grounds with outdoor pool in the summer. Dog friendly ? for £30 extra ?.
