A great holiday and very thankful for George's support and help throughout our week.

Amazing holiday! The girls and I loved the place was fantastic. The place was beautiful and we had the most lovely time. Owners live next door the lady was so kind and helpful. A man did pop around randomly and came in couple of times on first day which couple of my friends were surprised at as didn’t expect it but after that was left on our own and was peaceful. Would 100% return.

Emms Hill Hideaway was in a beautiful setting within easy reach of most tourist spots. The place itself was beautiful and clean with a full compliment of pots, pans, dishes etc. However there were a few niggling problems. Soon after we arrived Mr McGregor turned up. We asked about the hot tub and were told to just press a button - it still took us some time to figure it out. The shower taps were complicated to use and although we did mention it the shower tray didn't empty very well which meant the whole time we were there we had to rush a shower before it flooded the bathroom. The toilet seats were lose and moved around the pot when we sat on them. Overnight and the next day there was no hot water until we figured out how to turn it on. Things that should have been shown to us upon arrival or soon after. Also there was no parasol in the garden which meant we had to sit in direct sunlight to eat which also meant we couldn't really enjoy the hot tub for the same reason. The master bedroom had a flannelette sheet which was to small for the mattress and was very uncomfortable through the night as the sheet wrapped around legs. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay, comfortable and peaceful and we would recommend it.

The cottage was gorgeous and i will be booking again for later in the year. The only thing i can find to moan about is that there needs to be mirrors in all the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Fantastic barn conversion with high quality fixtures and fittings. Lots of space and lovely and warm even without the log burner on which is surprising for the size of the place. Hot tub for 6 people and although there are neighbours we didn’t feel we were overlooked. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and and we already booked to return before we even left. Claire, the owner, lives next door and is friendly and welcoming and not intrusive at all but there if you need her for anything. Can’t wait to return.

Absolutely amazing cottage and location. Owners are really helpful and friendly. The cottage is spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated. Hot tub was fab. Highly recommended for family getaways to a stunning location, we've already booked another stay!

Had a great couple of days very friendly owner ideal for a big family. The hot tub could be a bit more private from neighbours

This was an amazing break. The owners were in touch prior to us arriving and were very informative. The cottage is to a high standard and is comfortable with lots of space. There were some lovely little touches such as a welcome hamper and some tea, coffee and milk to get us started on our week. There was everything you would need to enjoy a break away. We felt really at home and can't wait to go back.
