Erin view is in a lovely location with great views however the level of cleanliness and lack of equipment lets it down. There was a shortage of decent cutlery. On a positive note We had to report a problem with the oven and the owner responded promptly. The house is in need of some TLC and the garden is not enclosed

We had a great time at Erin View and although I only gave low points for location, it was perfect for, but might not suit everyone. We loved the solitude. The house was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I would definitely return.

A delightful cottage surrounded by friendly farm staff and super animals. The view over the sea was great and beaches nearby were superb - even if I did have to clean one beach. The 'master' bed was absolutely superb and for larger parties was a superb base. Gnerally a great plaxce to stay and suitable for families.

We spent a great week here as part of the Easter school holiday break. The cottage was lovely and the fairy lights on the deck added to the ambiance as night fell. The road up to the cottage could do with resurfacing, as there are quite a few potholes, however it didn't spoil our enjoyment of Erin View. There were also a few sheep in a neighbouring field as it is located out in the country with beautiful views out over the sea.

Fantastic property with everything needed. The pictures don't do justice to just how beautiful this place is. The only negative is the road leading up to the property which is extremely uneven and caused a puncture to our tyre, obviously this is no fault to the owners but be very careful traveling up there and go very slow. Owners are lovely and was on hand whenever we needed. Thanks for a lovely holiday. Niketa, tom, levi, Remy and Riko-james.

We rented Erin View to spend Christmas with family in the area. We ended up hosting Christmas dinner for 14 in the spacious kitchen diner. The property was more spacious than we expected and the owners had kindly decorated it very tastefully so we didn't need to bring anything. Even the dining table was set up for festive dining with a very welcome bottle and chocolates. We contacted the hosts once and our text was answered very quickly. Can't fault our visit other than to wish we had stayed longer to take advantage of the amazing views and walk the local area.

This is a lovely cottage - nicer than the photos which don't do it justice. It was comfy and cosy with fantastic views. Only downside is just a small lack of attention to detail. Minor repairs needed I.e. Light bulbs, lamp not working , shower door needs adjusting etc. This did not spoil our visit but fixing these small things and maybe new mattress would make this a 10! Garden is not enclosed so our young dog needed watching when outside which was ok at this time of year but may have been a problem in the summer. Friendly neighbours and plenty to see with calves being born right outside. Great location and road not a problem - just drive slow. Would love to return!

My husband our dog and I have just got home from staying at Erin view for 5 days, we loved it here, it is in a lovely quiet location with spectacular views, the cottage is very well presented and clean with all you need to enjoy the stay. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and biscuits, lovely gesture from the owners Michael and Barbara. It is much larger than the pics show (pics don’t do it justice) We were even lucky enough to witness 4 calves being born which was amazing, the farmers Robert and Alan are really nice guys they even named a calf after my husband which is great! They invited us to there farm to their calves nursery brilliant!! We will definitely be coming back here again, I would recommend Erin view to all. Kerry, Angelo and Jerry-lee x ??

We had a lovely relaxing week, found the cottage really comfortable, including the beds, but missing a few kitchen bits that would have been very useful (sharp knives for instance). The only issue, particularly for dog owners looking to book, is that it's described as having a large enclosed garden. It doesn't. The garden is open to the farm track in front and the driveway, the surrounding fields with cows and next door's garden with pets of their own. Our dog was fine as is calm and well-controlled but would have liked to play with a ball in a garden (we only book cottages with enclosed gardens). You could easily lose a dog prone to escaping for a run through the fields. There's a small but fairly well-equipped shop in Glenluce but the cottage is only 15mins drive to supermarkets at Stranraer so not isolated despite the uneven track up to it. We weren't worried by the potholes, just need to drive slowly and carefully. Views of Luce Bay in the sunrise and sunset were wonderful and we'd happily return to Erin View and recommend it.

The cottage is a pleasant spacious bungalow, near one other cottage and a farm, with a fabulous view out over the local area and coastline. It is particularly suitable for people who like rural/coastal outdoor holidays but is not especially near to 'entertainment' or town facilities though there are plenty of small local shops within a few miles. Our dog was with us and it was fine for him though the garden is open plan, and it was lovely to see the farm animals nearby and the farmer at work. There is a farm track for the last half mile to the cottage but it was quite manageable. The cottage was equipped and furnished in a traditional way but everything was comfortable.

The cottage is nicely presented. The owner is friendly and was very helpful when we asked about a high chair as the one there is broken. The location is very secluded and the views are beautiful. However the one mile to a pub is down the side of a steep hill so the journey home from the very local pub was hard work. The actual cottage is very nice, the space is great and technology is great. It was let down by mattresses in all rooms that needed replacing and silly things like light bulbs out and a lack of tea spoons. We wouldn’t return not because of the cottage but because of the location.
