The kitchen is bright, contemporary, well equipped and also has a wood burner. There are two shower rooms on the ground floor. Steep cottage stairs lead up to a double and a twin bedroom on the first floor, both attractively decorated and furnished. Adjoining the cottage is the original old stone byre. It is equipped with a fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. It also provides an ideal base from which to prepare barbecues, with a large charcoal barbecue situated in the garden overlooking the sea.
Situated on the edge of a small crofting community, the immediate area is renowned for superb beaches and unspoilt highland scenery. There are lovely walks direct from the cottage, and hill walking, climbing, mountain biking, kayaking and sailing are all enjoyed locally. Fishing is in abundance, and available free of charge at Loch Ewe, 500 metres away, or permits can be purchased at the local post office for fishing at Loch Marie, 3 miles away. There are also a number of smaller lochs nearby which you can purchase permits for.
