An absolutely fantastic cottage in a beautiful setting. Couldn’t fault it at all. Lovely food at Poolewe Hotel and dog friendly so highly recommended.

We stayed at Ewe Cottage in 2014 and compared our visit to the previous stay, when I believe the cottage had different owners. It is in a lovely location with a big garden and fire, which is great. However the cottage is now quite run down. The baking trays in the kitchen were not clean, the living room furniture needs upgraded and the shower door in the larger toilet is broken, meaning a draughty shower was had each morning. Again, previous owners left the cottage immaculate and also were generous with providing little extras to make your stay special. We also had issues entering the property as the keys were not there and the only contact we had was for the owner who was in Japan. We traced the keys ourselves but a number for someone local to help would have been useful. The area itself is beautiful and we would recommend visiting Gairloch beach and Mellon Udrigle. The Poolewe Hotel also has lovely food and is dog friendly. We hope to visit the area again but probably not stay in Ewe Cottage, unless standards improve, especially for the costs in peak season.

Overall very good, cottage very cosy and warm not much of a view apart from the bedroom windows of the mountains. Cottage well equipped although house keeping could be better. All in all we would consider staying here again if we want to go to this area

Beautiful part of the world with lots of outdoor activities close at hand and Gairloch a short distance away. Try Ewe Canoe but book in advance. Well kitted out and comfortable cottage.

This is a cosy little cottage tucked away in a fabulous location. It really is nice and peaceful here and you can reach Gairloch in about 15 minutes by car - there’s everything you need here including a tourist information centre and shop which opens until late. The cottage could do with a bit of a refurbishment as the bathrooms are a little dated. The double bed would benefit from a mattress which fits properly and one that is comfortable too! The pillows were quite flat also.

This cottage must have seen better times before . ,A very nice place , enough space , lovely fews, but it seems like nobody takes really care of it , inside too dusty , carpets really dirty , kitchen equipment not really clean ...for us not because of this not cosy enough .. we knew it better in other cottages , we had before . We were lucky because we had good weather , so it doesn't affect us really serious !

We had an excellent time we were looking for somewhere quiet to recharge the batteries and this was perfect. Open fire in the living room was very cozy. The owner was extremely helpful when we contacted him about the house let's you what the area has to offer. Beautiful area loads of wildlife in the garden and a stunning beach along the road. Cove is a must visit place amazing history and views. Poolewe hotel has decent food or youcan go in to Gairloch for more restaurants. Can't wait to return later in the year.
