This cottage was well equipped and a lovely base from which to explore the north Pembrokeshire coast. It is in a lovely wooded setting and is quite isolated so very peaceful and quiet. It's a great place if you love nature and we loved exploring the surrounds. If you want modern then this is not for you. Some might think it a bit dated but personally I loved the mixture of antique and newer furniture and found it comfortable and homely. There were a couple of minor issues, which we reported at the end of our stay - for example, the Sky TV remote didn't work despite changing the batteries and one of the bedroom lamps didn't work. The most important thing was that there is NO PHONE as advertised which could be an issue as there is no mobile signal and the wi fi is only accessible outside. This is great if you really want to get away from it all but could be a problem in case of emergency as the property is so isolated. The other issue is that there is no shower, which is an inconvenience and not very environmentally friendly when saving water is becoming important. Also, although there is a washing machine it is in a poor state in a damp area under the outside staircase at the side of this cottage. It might work but didn't feel inclined to use it and felt it might not be safe. I notice that the lack of phone and the state of the washing machine has been mentioned in other reviews, so wonder why these issues have not been addressed? At the very least the description on the website should be modified to inform potential visitors. Apart from the above we had an enjoyable stay. The surrounds more than made up for the shortcomings.

A really lovely cottage in a superb country setting. The dog thought that the walks were wonderfull. The cottage was very clean and well equiped particularly the kitchen. The lounge was well appointed but would have been improved with more comfortable seating. The TV was stated as being 26" but was a lot smaller. The bedrooms were very nice and bathrooms were good but had no shower which was promised in the literature. Real downside was total lack of mobile reception. Drove to the other side of Newport and still couldn't get any. Made worse by the fact that a landline with an honesty box was promised but not there. Would I stay again - definately as I loved the tranquility of the location. Pembrokeshire council need to get their act together over mobile phone reception - lack of it not acceptable in this day and age. Cottage was a cut above the usual holiday let though.

cottage is lovely and the location is beautiful, but feels a bit neglected in terms of cleaning and general furnishings there is no Wi-Fi as advertised and washing machine has seen better days. there is no way to rinse your hair after a bath unless you get someone to do it with a bucket for you as we had to. but we had a lovely week and log fire is nice and cosy.
