A lovely setting but few amenities readily available. We needed 2 travel cots, only one was available. We needed 2 highchairs and there were none, just a booster seat with clip on tray. Something to do on the park would be good so that the walks can sometimes have a destination with an activity, or on-site shop, at the end.

Was a fab lodge only issue was the rubbish as it only had one black bin outside and one bin in the kitchen. there were 3 of us for the week 6 would have been worse. We filled the outside bin quickly and put out another black bag full as we couldnt find anywhere on the site to empty the black bin. The bag was destroyed in the morning and the rubbish everywhere we then had to keep stuff in the house as it was warm it wasnt pleasant come the end of the week

Pro’s and cons to cabin 43. Location amazing, peaceful and even though at first it seems like your very close to lots of other cabins and worry about privacy it’s actually ok. Use of pool and spa facilities - just fabulous!! Sauna, steam room, tepidarium, ice room, foot spa, hydra pool, swimming pool - all included. Now the cabin itself.... if the picture you’ve seen shows cream coloured comfortable looking sofas - it’s a lie! There are 3 square style black sofas - the most uncomfortable ones ever for sitting around as a family chatting. The bedrooms all have an awful smell - not sure if it’s the carpets or the mattresses? Difficult to sleep with that smell. You have to look after the hot tub yourself adding chemicals as and when required, the hot tub light doesn’t work, the outside light is broken, many indoor bulbs have gone and not been replaced, I had to (believe it or not) vacuum the walls before we could sleep due to the amount of dust that had accumulated over time between the wooden slats and the cobwebs all over the walls. I spent my first hour or so cleaning before we could relax. If cheap is what you’re after this is perfect. Clearly either they don’t have regular cleaners between guests or they can’t be bothered to do a good job. I would return to the location in a flash but never to cabin 43. The smell when you’re lying in bed is awful!

Absolutely adored our few days break, it was a beautiful cabin, the power shower to die for. We had everything we needed. A few cobwebs and quite dusty with a few items broken that need replacing. But that doesn't stop my praise of the place. Hot tub was great, we used once as first-timers. I would definitely love to stay there again.

The lodge was poorly equipped, dirty, had quite a few broken appliances and fixtures, the Jacuzzi hadn't been cleaned for our arrival and when it was the chlorine levels were too high to use but we were left to sort it ourselves so didn't get to use it for the first 3 days of our 6 day stay. The woods are not managed so you're not sure where you can walk and the paths are not maintained. The roads around the site are full of potholes so very hard on the car. The lodges are also sited such that the balcony areas overlook each other and it all feels crowded. Definitely not as described.

Sadly, the lodge has had its day. It could do with a really good spring clean (lots of dust, fluff and cobwebs) and maintenance. The table still needed cleaning as per a previous review. The decking was treacherously slippy and the steps were dangerous. The main bedroom was extremely damp. There was a dehumidifier in there that needed emptying every day (about a litre). Our clothes smelt of damp and it was difficult to sleep because the damp smell was so strong. It's a shame because the lodge is in a beautiful location and the leisure facilities are excellent. It was adequately equipped with crockery and utensils. The wifi was good.

Total relaxation! Lovely clean, comfortable and well equipped lodge in a quiet woodland location. The added bonus of a good WiFi connection was much appreciated, and of course the hot tub didn't disappoint! We would definitely choose to stay at Fairways Lodge again.

Great cabin, love the location, the peace and quiet and the hot tub. It is very spacious and comfortable. I suggest a screen or planters when using the hot tub as it is overlooked by the cabin next door and was conscious of them watching us while using it. I also did not appreciate having to test the water every day and add the chemicals myself, I shouldn't have to do that when on holiday!

This is a lovely log cabin very comfortable and very spacious ,with bed linen towels and tea towels all provided . The sports centre on site is a real bonus ,but theres not much to do for children we brought our children's bikes and a football.the out side decking is great if you have small children or pets as it is gated ,so no one can escape ,overall a very enjoyable holiday.

For a quiet relaxing holiday, Fairways Lodge is just the place. The hot tub is an added bonus, as well is the use of the nearby spa. The lodge is spacious and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, plus freezer and washing machine in the utility cupboard. The decking is secured with a gate so ideal for young children and a dog. The en suite shower can be a real power shower if you want, and there is sky WiFi and a Xbox 360 with a few child friendly games. The only negative comment I have is that the master bedroom did smell a bit damp, we did use the dehumidifier provided, which seem to help. Overall a wonderful, relaxing week and would recommend.

the lodge was great plenty of room, plenty of games for the children if the weather's bad. Hot tub was difficult for me to get in, could have done with a step. need a car for local amenities.
