There are panoramic views in all directions, yet Alyth, Coupar Angus and Blairgowrie are just a short drive away with excellent facilities ranging from quaint individual boutiques and fine dining restaurants to traditional tea and coffee shops. Strathmore is a lush, 10-mile wide valley which divides the Lowlands from the wild and majestic Highlands. This area is a paradise for golfing, angling (fishing permits available locally at £20 per day), field sports and birdwatching. The local country byways are also perfect for quiet walks or cycling, and is also the centre of fruit farming with delicious produce widely available. It also offers an excellent touring base to the stately homes, mountains, lochs and glens of Perthshire and Angus, as well as the beautiful coastline with sandy beaches and picturesque fishing villages.
