It was our 2nd visit to Fanolas barn and as a family of 4 with 2 children the layout of the place was perfect for us again and the fact we like to travel to different places it works well for us and the bedroom with the bigger bed has a lovely comfortable bed which is perfect for me but there were a few little issues this time unfortunately. One was having no internet at all and not being able to access Netflix which was quite difficult when you have a 7 year old and a 4 year old and it is raining for a few days so you can’t go far because the weather is horrible. We did speak to Claire about it towards the end of our stay and she told us unfortunately it is rural there and a lot of people were using the internet at the same time. Maybe this is the case but I feel it should be mentioned in the holiday details so one is able to prepare for this. The other issue I had was the shower it works from a mixer tap and at times the water flow kept changing it would suddenly go very slow and the water would be scolding hot the next the water would gust in so the water temperature would go back to normal so because of this I didn’t attempt to shower the boys as I didn’t want them to get scolded. The other 2 issues are minor but I feel they should be mentioned I requested in my order that I wanted the twin beds zip locked so my 4 year old didn’t fall out of bed unfortunately they weren’t and they were made up as twin beds so we made do and managed to put them together the best we could which was fine. The other thing was the tv remote control was very unpredictable. These last 2 issues with the beds and the tv remote were mentioned in the guest book by the previous bad guest as well but Claire wrote on the guest book near their entry saying they hadn’t requested beds to be zip locked and they should have if that is what they wanted and that the tv control is fine but in our case the same happened to us so maybe there is lack of communication regarding getting these twin beds zip locked. Claire is lovely and if you want her she will be there no problem but I personally don’t like complaining I just prefer to manage but we did mention the internet as it was becoming very annoying and causing us all problems but the other problems we did not mention. On arrival Claire seemed quite annoyed about the previous bad guest she had had and stated that the boys were not to draw on the walls which is fine because I wouldn’t allow it but it did make me feel stressed the whole holiday that the boys didn’t touch anything because I didn’t want to leave it like previous guest. I didn’t personally want to say about the beds and the tv remote to her but I feel you should be aware of it for future guest. Otherwise it is a lovely place to stay and I would go back again.

The Home is very good equipped in a peacefull place with lots of privacy and your own garden. We couldn’t find anything we missed during our stay. It is also very dog friendly! There was a welcome starter for us: Some coffee, thea, tablets for dishwasher and for the dog some treatment, bowls, towel. The location is a big plus that can also be a minus. You have to take the car for your groceries and it will take you extra time to get somewhere but that gives you privacy in return.

Lovely peaceful location in the middle of nowhere. Very comfortable and great outdoor space for dogs.

This is a remote location but is truly relaxing. Claire the owner is a lovely friendly person and adds some extra special touches such as flowers, bottle of sparkling Prosecco and treats for the dogs. The barn itself is nicely decorated and lovely and clean and spacious. The dogs loved the garden and my daughter enjoyed meeting her horses. You won’t be disappointed if you book.

Lovely new "cottage".Very quiet and peaceful, but car definately needed. Extremely clean and well presented. On the "down" side, no electric shaver point, but if we,d known we could have taken an adaptor, and for myself especially having mobility problems, the double bed was extremely comfortable but rather "high" for me to get into on my own, however those are minor points and we really enjoyed our stay there.
