Far Barsey cottage was ideal, it had everything we required. It has been beautifully refurbished and tastefully decorated. Ruth was very friendly and informative about the local food outlets to try, although the farm shop had a good choice of food and prepared meals if one wanted to stay in. The little extras like the carton of milk, the small bottle of wine and the chocolates were much appreciated.

Lovely cottage, very well equipped, clean, quiet and comfortable with lovely views and a wonderful farm shop on site.

A totally amazing cottage for a romantic break, will certainly be going back very soon. Stunning views. Fantastic farm shop with everything you could possibly need. Local pub, The Fleece only 25 minutes walk away and was very welcoming.

One of the best cottages we have stayed in. Very clean and comfortable and everything catered for. The welcome from the owner Ruth was exceptional asking how the journey was and if everything was ok with the cottage once she showed us around.

Nice location with good views. Peace and quite and very friendly owners

We had 2 x weeks at Far Barsey Cottage at the beginning of April, whilst we were between houses, and we would still be there but for it's well deserved popularity and advance bookings. Situated on a family run farm complete with deservedly very popular farm shop, this cottage is first class in terms of cleanliness, comfort, appointments, tranquillity, location, and so on. The entire business is run by Ruth & John, supported by the next generation, and long may it continue. We visited the shop whilst we were at the cottage and have returned each week since then to stock up on fillet steak, home made pies and sausage, and new laid free range eggs. "Perfick". Thanks to all the family and staff for an enjoyable all round experience. David and Ann

Great cottage in a beautiful location.

    out of 10

Really loved this place, spot on for a couples break. Living room was lovely and cosy with the woodburning stove, kitchen a good size and new appliances, the upstairs had a great feel (with comfy bed) and bathroom is massive with a great shower and freestanding bath. Cracking location, easy to get to, but rural and peaceful. Gorgeous views across the hills. Farm shop on site was a real plus. Attached to working farm but really quiet and the owners where nice and friendly. Closest pub is up a steep hill, so we walked to the Griffin (25 mins walk) and the Fleece Inn (30 mins walk), both had good beer and food. Could be a regular bolt hole for us and would definitely return.

A really lovely break after Christmas cosy and quiet

    out of 10

We enjoyed the most fantastic Christmas break at Far Barsey Cottage. The cottage itself was fabulous and the hosts were most welcoming. We will definitely stay again.

Ruth, John and their family made us feel very welcome and we had a comfortable and relaxed week in a lovely warm cottage.
