This is a perfect location to enjoy the Scottish borders, Kielder, Northumberland coastline, Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick and shopping at Newcastle’s Metro Centre. Shops and pubs 2 miles.
    All on ground floor: Living/dining room with beams. Kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 bunk, both with beams. Bathroom with toilet.

    a very enjoyable break!cottage was exactly [if not better ]than advertised felt right at home straight away.alan and tina excellent hosts available if needed but left you alone to enjoy the cottage as if it was your own place in the country ,if your after a break away from the hustle and bustle try this cottage break you will not be disappointed,

    I booked this for my elderly parents and their friend. At first we looked for 3 Adults then realised that would mean a single bed, so changed to 4 Adults hoping to get 2 double or twin rooms. It was one double and bunk beds ( this wasn’t clearly stated when booking) Think the cottage would best suit 2 adults and 2 children ( age dependant )

    Myself, five year old and both parents stayed for three nights in the middle of march. I was met by the owner who was lovely, he showed us around the outside area, where you can and cant go and said to ring anytime if i needed them. The cottage was lovely and cosy and very clean. You had everything you would need for a short stay. The cottage for a child is great. The outside space is lovely with big areas to play, trampoline, swings and a the river. It was raining when we stayed and it had been very snowy/cold previously so not the best, though this didnt put off my little boy he really enjoyed himself playing outside! The only teeny negatives was that the water pressure in the bathroom was really low so it took ages to fill a bath/wash hair. A shower would have maybe been quicker/better but there isnt one. Also the log burner which is lovely does make everything smell really strong of well log burner! i really didnt like this ( especially not if your going to a wedding as you dont really want to smell like that) other than those two small thing it was lovely and i would totally recommend a stay!
