We arrived at the Barn and were immediately impressed with it from the moment we got there.. we were greeted warmly by Trina as we came down the drive.. and a welcome basket of goodies in the kitchen to get us going! The accomodation is so spacious, bright, full of character, clean and airy. It is located in a small village opposite the church.. we spent the first day in and around the Barn.. taking a walk around the lanes.. it is a perfect, location for a peaceful break.. and convenient as a base for exploring the beaches and quaint towns and villages in the area.. we would more than highly recommend this place and will be back!!

Very comfortable accommodation with the bonus of each of the bedrooms having its own en suite. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner is spacious, light and airy and the outdoor seating area gets the sun for most of the day. The owners are very welcoming and provided a generous welcome pack. They were also very relaxed about our departure time on the final day as no guests were expected in the week following our stay. We benefited from the fact that the adjacent holiday property which sits at right angles to The Barn was empty during our stay and therefore we had more privacy than might otherwise be the case.

We had a really good holiday and staying at ‘The Barn’ was perfect. We had organised a week away with another couple (good friends ... all of us in our early 70s ... one of whom suffering from Parkinson’s disease.) The accommodation was everything we hoped for, en suite bedrooms at either end with a well equipped kitchen and a lovely lounge area to relax in. It worked like a dream. The location half way between Dover and Canterbury was ideal and we were able to visit lots of different places including Canterbury Cathedral, Leeds Castle, Chatham Docks, Romney Marshes and the coast around Broadstairs. Worth mentioning is the Battle of Britain Memorial near Folkestone, which was a wonderful tribute to many brave young men. Finally, we must mention Gary and Trina who were so welcoming and kind ... two very caring people, with a lovely family ... not forgetting their zany dogs!

Good location from which to sightsee around Kent. Warm, comfortable and well equipped, if not a little tired in places. I would have preferred one good TV with Iplayer and a better DVD player, rather than 3 TV's and an older DVD player that read 1 of our DVD's, but the picture broke up half way through another. A dishwasher located in the kitchen would have been better, rather than having to go in and out of the utility room to load and unload it. A quiet, peaceful location, apart from some road noise from the lane through the village which runs immediately behind the double bedroom. I expect the twin bedroom may have been quieter. The utility room was a great place to dry out wet footwear and any damp clothing overnight.

The Barn is an exceptional place to stay. We enjoyed good weather but if you were forced to stay indoors there is so much to do there. The host is lovely, very attentive and has delightful, polite children. The Barn caters for practically every need, is very clean and cosy. We walked to the Royal Oak for a meal. The menu is limited and food is only served Wednesday through to Saturday but we couldn't fault the meals we chose. It was definitely value for money. Wendy is very friendly and we certainly had no complaints. If we were visiting Kent again we would definitely return to The Barn.

The landlady and the landlord surprised us with a lovely welcome basket. They are very friendly and helped us with every question. The cottage is situated in a lovely small village. It is very nice decorated and furnished with everything that we needed. We spent a wonderful week in the barn. It was also a great place to explore the wonderful area of Kent. Thank you for the great hospitality.

We had a fantastic welcome from the owners. They left us a superb welcome pack which was really useful. The cottage was beautiful and superbly furnished and equipped. It is the best cottage we have ever stayed in as a holiday cottage. We would definitely recommend it to all our friends and family and would definitely go back. The area had so much to do and we certainly were not at a loss at any time for things to do.
