Very welcoming owners. Clean comfortable accommodation plus welcome hamper.

The Barn is a fine example of a barn conversion which retains original features with modern fittings and comfort. It is situated in the grounds of the owners' property and they are always available for help and advice. It is ideally situated for exploring east Kent with coast, castles and gardens within easy reach. Canterbury is only a few miles to the north. The village of Nonnington does not seem to have many amenities but there are shops and pubs not far away. We would certainly recommend The Barn as a quiet, peaceful and comfortable place to stay. The accommodation is spacious and contains a variety of areas in which to relax; a main sitting/dining room/kitchen, a gallery for watching TV and a secluded sun room in addition to two comfortable en suite bedrooms. A gem of a property.

Upon arrival very warm welcome from mr and mrs Walters.Lovely barn and very spacious with everything you could need. Fine weather all week made our stay even better. Would definitely stop here again.

We arrived at the Barn and were immediately impressed with it from the moment we got there.. we were greeted warmly by Trina as we came down the drive.. and a welcome basket of goodies in the kitchen to get us going! The accomodation is so spacious, bright, full of character, clean and airy. It is located in a small village opposite the church.. we spent the first day in and around the Barn.. taking a walk around the lanes.. it is a perfect, location for a peaceful break.. and convenient as a base for exploring the beaches and quaint towns and villages in the area.. we would more than highly recommend this place and will be back!!

A beautiful place to stay, with very attentive hosts. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen has all the necessary items, Wifi works well, TV in each bedroom and lounge and DVD. Very quiet area.

This was a lovely place and great hosts, nothing was to much trouble, lovely welcome basket. the Barn was comfy and felt homely, everything there we needed. great to sit in the mornings watching the birds and owl flying around. would definitely go back again and recommend it to others.

Very comfortable accommodation with the bonus of each of the bedrooms having its own en suite. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner is spacious, light and airy and the outdoor seating area gets the sun for most of the day. The owners are very welcoming and provided a generous welcome pack. They were also very relaxed about our departure time on the final day as no guests were expected in the week following our stay. We benefited from the fact that the adjacent holiday property which sits at right angles to The Barn was empty during our stay and therefore we had more privacy than might otherwise be the case.

We had a really good holiday and staying at ‘The Barn’ was perfect. We had organised a week away with another couple (good friends ... all of us in our early 70s ... one of whom suffering from Parkinson’s disease.) The accommodation was everything we hoped for, en suite bedrooms at either end with a well equipped kitchen and a lovely lounge area to relax in. It worked like a dream. The location half way between Dover and Canterbury was ideal and we were able to visit lots of different places including Canterbury Cathedral, Leeds Castle, Chatham Docks, Romney Marshes and the coast around Broadstairs. Worth mentioning is the Battle of Britain Memorial near Folkestone, which was a wonderful tribute to many brave young men. Finally, we must mention Gary and Trina who were so welcoming and kind ... two very caring people, with a lovely family ... not forgetting their zany dogs!
