Garden with terrace and garden furniture shared with another property. No smoking. Please note There is an unfenced pond in the garden. Farthingales is a Grade II listed homestead based around a 15th-century hall house set in the heart of the Kent countryside. It sits adjacent to the historic village church and on the edge of rolling fields. Two of the property’s outbuildings The Barn ref PZV and The Stables ref UKC16 have been sensitively converted to provide accommodation which reflect their history by retaining original features whilst providing the comforts of modern living such as underfloor heating.\n\nLocal attractions include the famous city of Canterbury with its beautiful cathedral dominant city walls and an array of boutique shops bars and restaurants. Enjoy a day trip to France by ferry from Dover to Calais or by train from Ashford via the Channel Tunnel. Nearby coastal towns in Kent include Broadstairs famous for its annual folk festival and Whitstable a charming fishing town with local shops oyster festivals and pubs right on the beach. London is easily accessible with several high speed train routes from Kent in under an hour you can enjoy all that the capital has to offer.     Owners very warm and welcoming, very nice cottage within easy reach of many interesting places such as Canterbury, Whitstable, Sandwich and Dover. We had a very pleasant stay at the Stables and would highly recommend it.

    A comfortable, warm and cosy base for exploring Canterbury and the Dover coastal area. Katrina and Gary are very welcoming hosts and provided a brilliant welcome pack. The area has much to offer and a week was easily filled.
