Very good cottage ,comfy furnishings, one small comment that there no basic items (salt, pepper, toilet roll), also the extractor fan did not work. The conservatory roof had a small leak .But overall we had a enjoyable stay

A lovely cottage with all mod cons and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Plenty of space outside to sit and enjoy the view and a nice, sunny conservatory. We have booked to return later this year.

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The views are simply stunning. There is a delightful back route (avoiding the main road) to get to the village on foot over fields and lanes, ending up in the picturesque churchyard. The walk takes 10 mins. To find the path from the cottage go to the the bottom of the track which leads up to a farm just beyond the entrance to the holiday lodges. Hawkshead village has a great choice of cafes and pubs as well as a small Co-op, a post office and a pharmacy.

Spent the first week of April 2019 here and had a wonderful time. Clean, warm, comfortable and with almost everything you need provided, except a Visitors Book! The views are cracking and we had great pleasure in watching the lambs come into the world and the farmers move them between the fields. A blind in the kitchen would be an added bonus as would gates to the front garden to keep the dog in, but they did not detract from our stay. Hope to return again. P, J & A.

This was our 1st visit where we have stayed in a private residence and absolutely loved it. The views are stunning, the property is very well maintained and the only downside is that we were only there for a couple of nights but we are looking forward to return in the near future.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable with fabulous views. We really enjoyed our time here, the cottage was well heated and nice to return to after a days walk in October. The local village was very welcoming for walkers with a dog - we were able to eat out and take our dog with us. It made out holiday special to be able to eat our breakfast in the conservatory with stunning views towards the lake. suggestion for slight improvement - leaving the property in the car - you have to enter the main road on a blind bend, it would be great if a road mirror could be erected to make it easier to pull onto the road safely.

Lovely cottage with delightful scenery and would definitely stay there again. Slight mark-down only because of difficulty of getting to Hawkshead on foot as no footpath along main road. Everywhere easily accessible by car, however, and many beauty spots within easy reach.
