lovely cosy cottage, but stairs very steep not good unless you are very sure footed. Local shop two miles + two pubs and fish and chips all in little Downham, secluded garden lovely outlook and peaceful, good fishing in oxide lakes but check the rules as very strict but good size carp.well equipped cottage owners really helpful.

Everything you could want from a rural location, cottage is spotless and has everything you could want. If there were to be a very reluctant negative, a shower cubicle would be nice, and a higher bedroom ceiling, not much room for us over 6 footers, aside from that FANTASTIC.

A beautiful cottage in the most breath taking location. Ely cathedral was clearly in view across the fields. From the embankment opposite Fen Cottage, we witnessed a most spectacular sunset looking across the fenland, complete with a barn owl encircling us where we sat.

What a little gem. We loved this cottage. We had a very warm welcome from the owners. The fresh eggs were delicious. There is everything you could possibly need and more at this charming cottage. It was so cosy and felt more like a home than a holiday rental. The views from the kitchen window are amazing. Lots of different wildlife to see.The garden was delightful. Although it's not fully enclosed it felt safe for my little Chi to explore as it is so remote with no vehicles passing the cottage the whole time we were there. Tillie our little chihuahua also loved her daily walks straight from the front door. All in all we had a wonderful relaxing week. We have already booked to stay again.

Lovely cosy cottage. 2 bedrooms but ideal for just a couple as second bedroom leads off the first. Quiet rural location, beautiful fishing ponds in the area. Cottage well equiped and cared for.

We stayed twice this autumn and enjoyed the quiet location and easy access to Ely. Beautiful views surround the pretty cottage. Freshly laid eggs for breakfast were a nice touch, as well as the welcome hamper with Prosecco. The cottage itself is charming, well equipped with everything one might need. The area has plenty to offer - from walks, golf and horse riding to museums, street markets and wetlands. The hosts were lovely and efficient but not intrusive. We will be back.

This is a charming, comfortable, dear little cottage. It is lovingly maintained and thought out, with all sorts of considerate touches - fresh eggs from the host’s own hens, a spoiling bottle of prosecco, really nice bed linen and loads of towels, pretty roses to welcome you and best of all - lots of comfortable pillows, so you can get really cosy. Great view of Ely cathedral, birds to watch and even binoculars to see them with.
