    Excellent location&comfortable,would not hesitate going back to it. Dogs loved it, even the yappy dog next door couldn`t put them off.

    Fairly private if you stayed indoors there are no views from the windows apart from the car park and the table at the rear if you sit outside there are no views just the dog next door barking the kitchen has plenty of space but the worktops were always sticky no matter how many times you cleaned them socket in bedroom hanging off toilet seat hanging off no good for disabled paths were made of broken slate could not use my scooter to get to the front door which is at the back so had to walk with plenty of stops no good for people with walking problems like mine also situated on a hill however there is a garage with a shop nearby

    Failure of central heating due to low boiler pressure. Broken toilet seat. Sofa in lounge extremely uncomfortable and about to collapse. Extreme lack of ambience to the place and, interestingly, no visitor comments book!!

    In an ideal location right in the heart of Coniston. Only down side to this "cottage" (it's a ground floor flat not a cottage) is that it doesn't have a garden. You park at the front of the property then walk around the property to get to the main door. Very well equipped with everything you could need.

    Accommodation was very comfortable, clean and had everything you would expect. We would definitely stay at Fernlea cottage again if in the area. Location was only a short walk to Coniston lake which is stunning, the local village is very quaint and has a selection of pubs, be mindful of the Black Bull although a village pub the food seems very expensive for what it is. Thank you for letting us stop at your cottage.

    The reason for the overall 5 is as mentioned in other reviews next doors dogs! Barking in a morning and evening. Prevents you sitting out as it makes them worse. Though the garden is very disappointing and completely shadowed by huge conifers. Great location very near the centre, facilities good but could do with a little TLC.
