This comfortable holiday property has a secluded sitting-out area and there are numerous footpaths nearby making it an ideal base for walkers and bird watchers. This is also an ideal area for cyclists. The hamlet of Nettlestead adjoining the village of Lower Somersham whilst delightfully rural affords easy access to the many pretty towns and villages of East Anglia including Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich. There are two free public tennis courts a 10-minute walk away. Field View is also just a short stroll to two excellent local pubs. Beach 20 miles.     Quiet location but easy walking to two local villages. Good Pubs, chippy attached to one - excellent fish and chips - eat in or take away. Good community shop with cafe in Somersham - very friendly and helpful locals -you can borrow books and then take back or leave your own for the community. Comfortable accommodation for 2 persons. Owners friendly but not intrusive.

    This is a property attached to the home of the owner and has a glass door between the two properties, with a net curtain over it but persons can be seen from both sides, and overheard. The equipment is poor and old and I had to clean the teapot, because that's how I like my tea, before I could use it, well stained. The whole place needs updating and decorating. The use of the garden was great and quiet, with fields to the side and pheasants in the garden. The bed was nice and comfortable but if you want to close the sliding door then you're faced with an undecorated wardrobe. I did have to clean the bath and the shower was next to useless. But I wanted quiet and it was certainly that but care had to be taken when walking as there are no footpaths directly outside the property and the roads are narrow. Sorry but you did ask.
