From the door you can walk into the pretty village centre of North Queensferry where the pier has the smallest light tower in the world, or take a boat trip to visit the island in the Forth and see the wildlife. Also in the village is Deep Sea World, Scotland’s National Aquarium where you can see the tiger sharks and sea life. The local railway station has a regular service right in to Edinburgh and guests can be in the centre of the city in about half an hour and ideal for attending one of the many events. These include The Military Tattoo and International Festival with top class performers and free street performers. This historic city offers guests a variety of attractions to visit and explore, and Edinburgh Castle is definitely worth a visit and Princes Street offers retail therapy. The city is packed with restaurants, coffee shops, bars and bistros. There is a wealth of historic houses and castles to visit including Dunfermline Palace and Abbey, the final resting place of Robert the Bruce, and Hopetoun House and Linlithgow Palace can all be reached in under an hour.
