Set in the centre of Malham behind the Buck Inn, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this cosy, terraced cottage makes an ideal home, with views over the fields from the patio, and walks direct from the door. Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss, Gordale Scar and Malham Tarn are all within walking distance, and because there are two excellent pubs in the village, you can relax in either and talk over the ‘rigours of the day’, whilst enjoying a drink or sampling the food.
A little further afield is the market town of Settle just 6½ miles, where you will find the well-known Settle to Carlisle railway, with trains running over the famous Ribblehead Viaduct, from which the views are some of the best on offer in Yorkshire. Settle is a small market town and offers a selection of mostly independent shops, pubs and a few restaurants, together with an indoor pool and golf course. Skipton, just over 11 miles away, is a larger market town, with a Norman castle standing proudly at the head of the town, and a wide sweeping high street, together with a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. If you prefer to shop at local farm shops, there is one at Airton just 2½ miles away, offering a selection of local produce. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 30 yards.

Was a bit worried being behind a pub, it may be noisy, but Malham is not that sort of place ! So nice to have a choice of 3 eateries without having to drive (glad we didn't have to cook !) And lots of walks that could be done from the house.

First impressions of the outside yard where ' please God don't say this is our accomodation'. What a tip! On the plus side the location proved to be good, and the Buck Inn was lovely. The bed was lovely and comfortable but the place was generally cramped and uncomfortable.

A perfect little cottage,we walked every day from the door. Comfy bed, and sitting room has wonderful views . Only bad thing was the noisey immersion clock, fortunately we had taken ear plugs so it didn't disturb our sleep. The owners hope to change it soon??. There was no picture of the outside of the cottage but it is a pretty stone built terrace.

The cottage is in an excellent position for hikers The cottage itself has several drawbacks. TV reception is very poor it requires a separate aerial and a signal booster.I could not find the CD playing facility ????The heating timer is very noisy. It requires changing to silent digital unit. The shower screen leaks badly onto the floor and through the ceiling. Plug sockets in bedroom insufficient and in wrong positions. Front and rear external lighting is required. Front and rear gardens are very untidy. Access to the front of the property is very mucky and is easily walked into the property. Overall this should be a 2 star rating being small and compact but in an enviable position.

Lovely, cosy, well equipped cottage in a great location. Enjoyed the sunny patio. Bed was a bit too firm for me and the boiler made a constant throbbing noise but you get used to it! Overall a great little cottage with private parking in a beautiful village.

Very compact unit in centre of Malham. Although the kitchen was very small, it had enough equipment to enable us to prepare meals. There were lovely views from the second floor.

Excellent all-round cottage. Only gripe would be cost. But the offset of that is it can be paid in installments

Nice cosy cottage, great view at the rear. Very quiet and relaxing. Both the front and rear gardens could do with some loving tender care.
