My family come to York every year on holiday as my home is too small for them all . Although Fossdyke was expensive they all agreed, it was the best place they had stayed in . My 9 year old nephew rang last night to ask when they were coming "back to their holiday home "

The house was in a perfect location just 5 minutes from York centre. It was a very well equipped house with a good level of cleanliness. A couple of cups were a bit mucky along with a couple of utensils and pots in the cupboard but nothing major. The sofas were a little uncomfortable after a long day walking and the pillows really could do with replacing as they were extremely uncomfortable and our first nights sketp wasn’t good, we went out and bought pillows for the rest of our stay hence a lower score for comfort. Overall though we would recommend Fossdyke for value, facilities provided and superb location to the city.

Had a great 2 night stay here with my partner and parents. So clean and tidy. Everything you could need was catered for and the beds were very comfy. About a 10-15 minute walk into York Minster. Will definately be returning here next time we are visiting York. We didnt come with children but the facilities of a stairgate, toilet training seat and all the plastic plates and cutlery was nice to see. We have already recommended this house to our friends.

Absolutely fantasic, you couldn't wish for a better place and location. There is everything you could ever need in the house and the location is just a a walk away from most of the attractions. I do however have 1 little niggle and that's the fan in the bathroom. It's extremely loud and comes on automatically when you turn the light on. So using the bathroom light at night is a no no. But having said that it still gets 10/10 from us.
