Bridlington is a busy working harbour but also boasts a wonderful sandy beach. It’s a traditional seaside resort for families with plenty of bars and restaurants and the Bridlington Spa Theatre which is very popular with international acts and shows. Danes Dyke Nature Reserve is a short stroll where there’s some wonderful nature and wildlife walks. Paths from here lead to Flamborough Head, originally a small fishermans village. The walks along the cliff top are truly spectacular. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive away and here you can see the thousands of migrating seabirds from guillemots and kittiwakes to the very comical puffins. This lodge is a great base to visit the Yorkshire Wolds, The North York Moors National Park and the east coast. Beach 2¾ miles. Shop 1½ miles, pub and restaurant 600 yards.
