The bungalow was situated in a quiet cul de sac and was excellently equipped with everything we needed. It was a good base for visiting some interesting places in Northumberland. The weather was excellent and the conservatory got very warm. There were some very good dog-friendly pubs in the area and good shops in Alnwick.

I'll start with the downside, we found some packets of prescription medication in one of the bedside cabinets. I guess this was more to do with the swap over preparation than the cottages it's self and was pointed out to relevant people. The cottage appeared clean and had good range of equipment and facilities ( however could do with a lighter/different showerhead). the beds and chairs were all comfortable and electrical goods easy to use, bonus of having wi-fi. Nice to have the conservatory to eat our meals and relax after the day walking. It was a short distance to local stores (5-10min walk) and the same again on to the town. It was easy to get to local attractions. Although it was a small housing estate the local area was quiet. We normally like to stay in characterful cottages, but this a nice change and would consider staying here again.

This is a nice house, handy for the town and reasonably well equipped and comfortable. The parking in the designated space is a bit tight if you have a large car but there is plenty of room to park across the road.
