    Comfort and Equipment

The cottage is on a working farm down a remote country lane - the views from the garden are lovely. I have two greyhounds which were welcomed by the owners - I was slightly concerned that they would vault the quite low fence at the back of the garden into the neighbouring field of horses, which meant I couldn't relax as well as I would like in the garden (they didn't thank goodness). The cottage itself is comfortable, some of the equipment could do with replacing (dishwasher very old with a broken drawer for example) and a deep clean wouldn't go amiss - but nothing of real concern and there is everything you need. If you want a cottage to relax in with your dogs then it's a great place. Plenty of dog friendly pubs nearby to eat in, and nearby Ross on Wye also very dog friendly (o recommend Miffy's Cafe). The owners are lovely, welcoming and early very hard working.

Would have been a lovely Cottage if it been cleaner Kitchen needs clean and updating Fridge coolbox almost completely frosted solid Microwave needs plate that rotates Oven pans had to be washed Dishwasher bottom tray wheels broken and fell off when used Shower room not really disable friendly as shower tray to high Shower needed cleaning Toilet seat bumpers mostly broken Side garden overgrown and unusable Outside table and chairs not clean Toast rack would have been handy No sign of any profess management or inspections u Upload 1 photo but it shows all you need Lots of TLC and cottage e could be a winner

The cottage is perfectly located to enjoy the beautiful local area. Well heated when we arrived, fresh eggs but no TV or WiFi during our stay and the kitchen is very small and very outdated. Patch of stinging nettles at front door and in tubs, not the most welcoming sight. Everything looked tired, a shame because the cottage could be lovely.

A roomy characterful old house on a working farm. It worked really well for us - we prefer this kind of cosy lived in look and dog friendly. Tons of space in lounge and utility room, but kitchen a little cramped. Beautiful countryside all round. Great access to wye valley and brecons. When we visited the WiFi was very sporadic - but that suits me, the kids actually had to talk to us!

We enjoyed a family weekend away and only slept at Glen cottage. The rest of the time was spent in Foxcote Barn which was very comfortable.

Quiet and comfortable. Very friendly owners.

Glen cottage had huge charm, stunning views and the owners couldn't have been more lovely and accommodating!! It's not up to date but we weren't expecting it to be and it did have everything you need for a restful stay. The location is remote enough that you feel you're really part of the countryside but is still only 10 minutes from not just Ross on Wye but loads of other walks and activities. Thanks for all the fresh eggs too!

Fantastic 3 day stay - cottage located in farmland with beautiful views. The hosts were brilliant and even left fresh laid eggs from their own hens, cup cakes and fresh cut flowers.
