The cottage has been refurbished and is a warm and cosy home-from-home, with Wi-Fi, Digital TV apps and a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a charming outdoor area with period dining facilities. The master bedroom features a kingsize bed, two singles are available in the second bedroom, along with optional travel cot for younger guests. Snuggled in a quiet back street of Beauly village, just off the main square, Fraser Cottage occupies an amazing location, just yards away from the imposing ruins of Beauly Priory, a stone’s throw from the majesty of the River Beauly and its walks, and a stroll from the village’s main amenities, including a fabulous deli/café, three takeaways, two hotels and pubs and a selection of restaurants. Beauly also offers a very good range of shops, including a baker and butcher selling delicious local produce, gift shops and antique galleries. A local bowling club, shinty pitch and nearby golf course caters for the sportier amongst you, depending on the seasons, and there are also some lovely local walks for those long summer evenings or snowy winter walks.
Beauly train station, just a few minutes’ walk from the cottage, offers regular links to Inverness and the line travels all the way down to Kyle of Lochalsh, a steppingstone from Skye, whilst local bus routes to Inverness run well into the evening if you wish to visit the city for dinner. Fraser Cottage is just a few miles away from the banks of Loch Ness with the villages of Fort Augustus and Drumnadrochit on its western shore and Dores on its eastern shore.
