A beautiful cottage in very peaceful surroundings. Very spacious both upstairs and down. A good base for walking and visiting Herefordshire towns.

Beautiful barn conversation lots of room for a bigger family group. Very well equipped, spotlessly clean, a very good base for lots of places to visit. Would definitely recommend this one and hope to go back.

We had a lovely time at Barley House. It was very child friendly with the gates and high chair. Beautiful views from the garden. Would definitely recommend. The dog thoroughly enjoyed himself too! Loved that all rooms have en-suites with good large towels! Lovely food at the Moon inn. However the beds in the downstairs bedroom were awful and my friend had to buy a topper to be able to sleep! Very thin walls etc so recommend ear plugs. Cobwebs could be dealt with and the stinging nettles in the garden. I did also leave a couple of voicemails for the owner and she didn’t get back to me on either occasion.

We really enjoyed staying at Barley House, it was absolutely spotless. Well stocked with everything you needed. Beautiful location, very lovely barn conversion. The only downsides were the flies (probably because of the cows, it is the countryside) could do with a mesh for the back door. Also, the downstairs beds were dreadfully uncomfortable, we needed to use all the duvets from the other beds as a base. Other than that, lovely cottage, lovely area, great holiday thank you.

A lovely barn conversion in a lovely area, the host who lives on site never bothered us during our stay which we loved and it felt like home from home. The site whilst beautiful did have some small issues with the grill pan not being cleaned prior to our arrival and clearly had not been cleaned by the leaving guest who obviously enjoyed a full breakfast before leaving

Lovely cottage in a lovely setting. Comfortable and clean except for a few cobwebs! Welcome pack which is always appreciated. Kitchen fairly well equipped but need some teaspoons! We would certainly return.

Lovely location and cottage. Every room has an en-suite which was useful. The one king size room is on a different side - the upstairs is split into two - which gave us some privacy with our toddler and meant we didn’t wake everyone else up when he woke at 6am! As always, beds in holiday properties aren’t the most comfortable with the singles being the worst. Could do with a few repairs as the stair gates are falling off the wall (although they are functional when closed) and garden umbrella was broken which was a pain with a toddler in the sun as means there was no shade until the afternoon, although they were fast to repair when the toilet was broken. We had also asked for the zip-link beds to be joined and this wasn’t done. Overall we had a lovely holiday and the property was in a lovely location and gave us the space we needed with a lovely view, but not a 10 due to the points above.

We had such a good weekend, the cottage is in a perfect and scenic location, so spacious, and fully equipped with all you need! We were able to sit outside in the garden and have breakfast, taking in the view! Did go for a walk but couldn’t find the local pub, but still lovely walks all around! Would highly recommend and will definately revisit!

A fantastic cottage and location. Would have been 10 out of 10 on all counts except for the fact that the bed in the downstairs bedroom was not very comfortable. There was no mattress cover on the bed and you could feel the mattress springs through the sheet. A nice thick mattress cover would really improve the comfort.

Wonderful, peaceful location, great facilities in the barn. We really enjoyed our holiday in Barley House, which was perfect for our group!

A great place to stay for a family with young children.

Beautiful house and beautiful location. Lots of good walking, including leisurely 40 minutes to The Moon Inn at Mordiford (or 20 minutes if you walk very fast and don't have the dog or wives with you!!!) There were just 3 things which the group (6 of us) didn't like; 1. Very thin walls which meant you could hear everything across the property. This meant those who wanted to stay up late kept others awake. 2. Lack of mattress protectors on all beds 3. Lots of spiders webs in high up places and slit windows. We loved the reclusiveness hence no amenities (no problem) bring your own, plus owner supplied initial basics. We had a fabulous long weekend and we were very happy to recommend. About 15 minutes from Hereford. Take your walking boots and provisions and ENJOY! Thank you Miranda!!!!!!
