THE COTTAGE IS VERY SMART AND THERE IS SOME EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT IN IT. THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE AND MOST EQUIPMENT WORKED. HOWEVER WE COULD NOT WORK THE COOKER AND ALTHOUGH WE FOUND SOME INSTRUCTIONS IT WOULD STIL NOT WORK. THE TELEVISION NEEDE 2 NEW BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE CONTROL FOR IT TO WORK CONSISTENTLY. HOWEVER THE VOLUME SUDDENLY STARTED GOING VERY LOUD ON THE TELEVISION, AND IT HAD TO BE REDUCED ON THE STARTING REMOTE CONTROL. OTHERWISE WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT FOR A COUPLE.

Wonderful cottage in beautiful surroundings. Sue is a fantastic host who made us feel extremely welcome. The wood-fired hot-tub is beautiful and the cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen. Be prepared to bring food as the local shops are somewhat limited (though we managed to rustle up quite a few delights!) Overall, I highly recommend this cottage.

Such a quiet quaint place to stay, everything you could want for your stay was thought of and to a good quality. The bed was very comfortable and the shower lovely and powerful. The underfloor heating was a bonus addition and the log burner toastie. The seclusion with the hot tub was special, just wished they had a portable CD player to have some background music, however we would not mark it down for that as not everybody wants music. We planned walks around the area and Gaia lodge was a great base for this, the pub is about a 20 minute walk and serves good pub food. To wake up each morning and sit outside with your coffee listening to the birds was bliss.

We had an excellent long weekend stay in the lodge which was situated in the heart of the peak district, allowing for great walks and amazing scenery. We had a truly relaxing time, thanks especially to the amazing wood fired hot tub which was great fun. The lodge was warm and cosy with everything we needed, and Sue was extremely friendly and welcoming. We're coming back for the yurt!

We wanted a quite remote cottage. Clever photography doesn't show the cottage is a foot away from the farmhouse. The private garden is no use if you have dogs, we were told we had to walk them round a field to toilet, what ever the time and weather conditions. Fun in the rain at 2am. If you want to use the hot tub , it involves the farm owner constantly walking around your cottage to light the logs throughout the day, annoying and intrusive. We also had a man fixing a gate who stood at a window staring into the cottage while I was watching the TV. We had to leave all the curtains closed, it certainly wasn't suitable for a romantic get away. Having said that the cottage was lovely, spotless and the owner very nice. The guest book was full of lovely comments, so its probably just us who it didn't suit, but we wouldn't stay again.

We had a fabulous stay at Gaia Lodge. The barn has been converted and finished to a very high standard whilst the private hot tub was divine! The fact that it was a traditional wood-fired tub meant that there was no chlorine in the water which made it even better to relax in. The countryside surrounding the cottage was stunning and offered various walks and there was a local pub and tea rooms within walking distance. There were many more amenities in the nearest village which is a very short drive away (or a walk across the fields). At the property, Sue was an excellent host who couldn't do enough to help and answer questions. We would thoroughly recommend Gaia Lodge to anyone.

Was a perfect weekend away. Got everything explained to us including how to do the hot tub. The only thing was the WiFi was not working even after severely attempts of resetting. But it didn't matter in the end we enjoyed getting to spend time together
