The property itself was beautiful and the views amazing apart from around the actual property itself a bit of a mess as owner doing some work on the property I think. A lot of broken items in the property some replaced while on holiday some were not owner said previous holiday tenants the week before us caused the damaged so could be why. Overall it is a very lovely home and destination- there is some caravans to the side of the property so not as secluded and private as it looks. But we did have a lovely holiday just the property is not at it's full potential.

The whole experience was a nightmare. Water came and went, the owner promised me it would be cleaned yet when I went into the shower there were used razors and cobwebs everywhere in the house. I complained about these things to the owner no response, as well as this The oven door was broken the kettle didn't work, the extractor fan didn't work some windows opened some had broken handles and didn’t open. The water is not fit to drink and no water was provided on the onset. The nearest supermarket was in Fort William which was 30 mins away. We got there in the evening with children in tow and there was no wood for the heater and no drinking water. ( it was stated that first days supply would be provided for both) The wooden structure is full of huge cracks and the joists look compromised to the point that the whole building feels Unstable. Two showers were so hot that they were unusable and the thermostat was malfunctioning and the master ensuites shower bath had a drainage issue so the water didnt drain fast enough becoming a slipping hazard. The second bedroom just above the bed had large splinters which were dangerous . The beds were in a bad state. The two bedrooms upstairs had broken beds . The balcony had dried up dog poo . There were no bins outside the property to put your garbage out. There were bags of cement and left over building materials outside. The worst part of this is that when I raised some of these concerns with the landlord he said he would come down to see me to address them and hear me out . He never turned up!! Then in between stopped picking up my calls!

This is a lovely cottage in an excellent location but there are several problems with the amenities that other people have reported and these have not been fixed. The property says it can sleep 8 but really only 6 comfortably. Also there is no blind in one bedroom. We had problems with the oven, glass in the door loose, no plug in the sinks, fridge was wobbly, no kitchen cleaning products, water pressure low so only one person can shower at a time and there was no water at all for a short period of time which was fixed quickly when we contacted the owner but still a bit of a nuisance. However with all the little niggles we really enjoyed our stay. Great view of Loch Lochy ever morning.

Lovely property and location. Property is looking a little tired and unloved. Water comes out brown and weren’t initially aware that we would have brought bottled water to drink. First day didn’t have any water upstairs. Fridge didn’t keep its temperature. There should have been a bag of wood for the fire but only empty bags were left (thankfully it was summer). BBQ hadn’t been cleaned out. No curtain/blind in a downstairs room. We informed the key holder but nothing was done. Lastly, the photos make it look like the log cabin is remote by the loch but there is a truck repair/haulage company directly behind the house and mobile homes alongside. All of which is compensated for by the beautiful highland location. We enjoyed the scenery, cycling, walks, swimming in and canoeing on the loch.
