Lovely cottage, owners were really nice . I took my dog which is retriever size , the garden was not suitable. but it dose state small dog, so that was my fault. Village was so pretty, and great having a dog friendly pub so close.

A very charming and comfortable cottage. Jim and Lesley are only too willing to assist with anything but are certainly not intrusive. Location is ideal for exploring The Lakes. Although it didn't affect our stay should you have a medium to large car then the carport is too small. We were able to park in the adjacent layby. Might be problematic in busy periods. Overall though a delightful and well furnished cottage.

Lovely cottage. Just a little too remote for my husband and I. No shops in the village but the pub was good. Had we been a bit younger and up for more walking it would have been excellent. Still very comfy and warm cottage.

Beautiful little cottage, with fantastic views across the Lyth Valley. Little hard to find be prepared for single track country lanes! but worth it when you do. If you're looking for a rural retreat (nearest shops are in Kendal 4 miles away), this is it. It was equipped with everything you need to cook and self cater, and it was all of the highest quality. It was home away from home, all we needed to pack were towels, all the other bits that I've had to take when self catering before weren't needed, as the owner, who lives locally provided them all. This included milk, teabags and cake waiting for us on arrival. Owner also called the day before our holiday to confirm directions and he popped in to see how we were getting on during the week. Very warm and welcoming. Really was the BEST self catering place I've stayed in. If I didn't have teenagers, I'd go again, they want to stay somewhere closer to civilisation!
