It makes the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area. The village pub is situated just across the road and offers a warm welcome and home cooked meals and there are numerous walking and cycling trails from the doorstep. Secure storage is available for those bringing their own bikes. Stamford Bridge 1 mile with its memorial to the historic battle of 1066 provides a range of convenience stores cafés pubs and restaurants and the classic English market town of Pocklington 7 miles has an array of shops and an excellent reputation for its live events and film programme.\nThe vibrant city of York is just a 9-mile drive with easy access from the park and ride facility. Visit the wealth of world-renowned attractions including the iconic minster castle railway museums and the Jorvik Centre. Stroll along the cobbled streets take a trip on the open top bus or cruise along the river. There are theatres and art galleries ghost walks and street entertainers and numerous inns serving real ale. Close by is The Yorkshire Air Museum and Burnby Hall Gardens as well as the stately homes of Castle Howard and Beningbrough Hall which make for interesting days out.     Lovely cottage behind owners property. Clean and well equipped. Walled garden so great if you have a dog. Great location to go off and explore from.

    This cottage is absolutely spot on. The cottage itself is spacious & very homely. What we lovely about the place was the quietness not much noise at all. Most of all we had our border collie with us & she had the hold garden to herself & with it being walled in, knowing that she would not get out was a great bounces to us as she is getting deaf. Anyone who is looking for a lovely peace & quiet holiday with your dog we would recommend this cottage. Beautiful countryside.
